The two shot are the same explosion, the one you kept is the front, the other one is the back. You can see the two Mechs going down.

Very good point, I didn't think of that! There is always the power of choice. And yeah, death for drama does get very annoying, the only time it had any impact on me was when Aerith died in FF7, and you all know how that goes.

Sorry everyone for contributing to the whole "Tali Death" issue, I want her to live and have a happy sweet ending too, but I guess I like to expect things from all sides, and in the case that I drew up; my "bittersweet" ending, I thought that if an ending with Tali can possibly go bad, it minaswell be filled with anger going down in flames. I didn't take the "death for a good reason" thing into account, hope I didn't make anyone mad.

This issue's come up before, and heck, there are a couple of regular posters who've earned some infamy via Tali death in fanfics (cannedcream!!!).

It's something one everyone's mind, given the uncertainty about what ME3 may bring.  Others just have less interest in dwelling on the topic.

A career as a squadmate on the Normandy isn't exactly a lethargic occupation. Running and hauling weapons across two dozen planets is probably a good workout.
