But I didn't know Ash or Kaidan could die in Virmire. Then I was left with a choice; save Kaidan and a bunch of Salarain STG, or save Ash and the bomb.
I chose Kaidan. Felt miserable continuing ME for awhile since I'll be missing the paramour achievement on my first playthrough. Then ME2 came out, and do I regret losing her? Nope. In fact, now I feel like I made the right choice.
I'M A PROUD TALIMANCER!
speaking of which, the 'paramour' achievement would be very-very easy to get on ME3 with a transfered save

Fable 2 had a option to bring people into a dungeon for human sacrifice for evil points. That was evil.
And in ME2, the closest thing I thought that was "evil" was killing the batarians after you convinced them to leave peacefully in the omega quarantine. Or giving up Mouse as the informant to Kelham after the interrogation.
Or mowing down that crowd of indoctrinated salarians on Virmire.
I don't find it 'evil' to mow down the indoctrinated salarians on Virmire. Its a choice of morality, yes. But it is also an act of mercy

Did that last night with Tali's trial, I never did see the admirals reaction to not presenting the evidence resulting in exile, so I did. Got the reactions, then reloaded to watch Shepard call the Admiralty board out and get the charges dropped.
I usually explore all possiblities too. Generally always keep the "best possible good guy outcome" however.

LOL. As a long-time vet of RPGs, I don't consider stealing and looting to be particularly evil, unless the game shows negative consequences for the victim.Someone With Mass wrote...
The only time I'm "evil" is when I can go down that path by killing everyone and everything in sight and loot their corpses and break into their houses and flip the whole thing upside down for valuables.NuclearBuddha wrote...
Sorry for waxing goddamn nostalgic here. However, this is one of the reasons I take the paragon response RE: Rannoch on the Alarei.
When it comes to being evil through dialogues, I simply can't do it. I always have second thoughts and doubts about it.
Also, agree.
You know what's really evil? Crapping your pants in Fable II in front of dozens of people over, and over, and over, and over, and over to the point of having people think you are a human sewage plant and you stink up and pollute the air with the grossness of your descision, and you continue to do so even after the guards arrest you for disturbing the peace, now THATS evil...
Sorry for potential sick stomachs

There is a difference between renegade and evil.
Games like ME and Kotor? I always have at LEAST one "evil" character. Someone who is cruel just for ****s and giggles.
However, all of my other characters are written to be deeper than that. My Shepard is a Paragade. Just because he can talk himself out of just about anything or because he wants to unite the galaxy so that everyone is equal doesn't mean he has second thoughts about splattering Fist, or taking out Tarak. You get the picture.
Hell, one of my favorite Shepards is my Renegon Femshep. The reason behind her biotics and why she is the way she is makes renegade choices fun. But that doesn't stop her from hugging Tali, since she knows what it's like to find your dead parents, and she even tries to talk Garrus out of Killing Sidonis, as she's afraid that teaching him to be a do it at all costs Spectre may have turned him into something horrible, like her.
You can really go off and do some fun things with Renegade.
Indeed. My mainshep is a paragade as well, who only uses violence as a last resort. When dealing with dirtbags, it's easy to kill, but knowing when to unleash some Carnifex and when to holster it is a mastered skill.
Hence, balanced paragon and renegade, leaning more towards the ULB.

Indeed. I've been doing that on my current play through. I never realized how much dialogue I actually missed by pressing an interrupt or Charm/Persuade

Accidentally romanced Liara my first time.
Then Ash the next time.
And then Liara again.
I kept trying to get Tali...

Well, he was pointing his gun at Prazza. Tali just swirled around everyone and got caught between them.

Which isn't to say LLR doesn't have it's uses.
The first two dialogue wheels with the Admiralty Board, I always go LLR. They're ****ing idiots for putting Tali and Trial, and my Shepard makes sure they know that.

It was really a great cap by SWM. A fraction of a second later and she's clearly motioning both parties to lower the guns. But in the instant of that screenshot, it looks like she's stunned beyond belief at what she's seeing.Andaius20 wrote...

I'd just call it dumb luck, because I had set FRAPS on taking interval screenshots just before I entered the room, but I'll take any credits I can get for that cap.

By "the poor" do you mean herself? Heh. She's a thief, and for hire, too, it seems from some of her stories. No reason to dress it up. Doesn't mean she's not a nice person.RiptideX1090 wrote...

I prefer the Paragon option when defending Tali... but the first time you're talking to the Board...
"If it wasn't for Tali, YOU ALL WOULDNT BE ALIVE TO PUT HER ON TRIAL RIGHT NOW!"
Yeah. That's kinda important to know.
****ing Korris...
Gerrel too...
Shala and Xen are alright.
Reeger too.
And Veetor and his Nurse Lady Friend.
They're invited to all come over for dinner on the Normandy.
