Shala sounds way too old, sorry, complete grandma vibe. Likewise, Lia sounds way too young, similar to Tali in ME1.  As someone who has never - and will never - played Dragon Age, I have no fixation with Claudia Black, so meh, don't care.  Reegar sounds and acts just like John Casey from Chuck, its pretty re-god-damn-diculous.  It's like Baldwin got off the Chuck set and went to record the voice.  Not that there's anything wrong with that, I love Baldwin and I love Reegar.  Just saying.

I understand your viewpoint on Shala (I'd romance Chakwas, so that might explain a few things).  As for Claudia Black...1) Dragon Age is ****ing awesome, 2) that's not the only thing she's done.

www.youtube.com/watch

Claudia Black. Fighting. Wrestling. Kicking. Headbutting. And Kissing. All in the same scene.

Also. Fruitcake. Heh.

I think this gal really likes the crazy roles...

This.  "Shepard Tiron."  It has a ring to it.

Well, actually, I was thinking Antoine Tiron...

Wait. Where did "Tiron" come from?

You know, I was thinking about how to do a fantasy conversion for Tali/quarians. Again, I do so very love to twist things around.

The gypsy thing is obvious, but the no-immune-system thing doesn't translate well to fantasy tropes.

So here's what I was thinking: quarians would be like fae, whose presence in the world is disrupted by logic and civilization. They used to be more common, but now they get fewer because civilization keeps spreading. They wear masks because looking on them damages them because by looking you're trying to impose order on what you see.

or the magic that creates them is also slowly killing them as well, or they are made from the  dark magic so   light is harmful to them.

OHO!  Good exile analogue.

you know  Buddha this  fantasy telling of Mass Effect is not a half bad Idea... we might have to make  this happen...

I'm not much for fantasy, espeically fantasy games, and extra espeically fantasy rpg games. As far as CB is concerned, I feel as though most of the love here on these boards comes from DA, just an observation.

One less to worry about now, though...

Two less if Xen gets out of hand in ME3.

Ah, that admiral and her passive aggresive tendencies for taking over the galaxy...

That's the turian guy's last name.  On the Citadel.  Rodham Expeditions.  The one that say's he's going to name his firstborn after Shep.

When I heard that, I thought: "Yeah, let's keep it to discounts. Don't want some little turian kid stepping up in five years and punch me in the ****** for giving him 'a stupid name'"

He's got some good ideas.  We talked a little about how to convert characters a while back.  It was kind of clever how he was planning to do both John and Jane Shepard.

because its a good a Idea  and its something that no one has tried,   also the Line between Scifi and fantasy is very thin once tech gets high enough.

That only happens if you save the council

If the council is dead, he'll start acting like a jackass.

ANYWAY, off topic as it is. Lets get it back on track.

Stargate, eh?  Bad television based off of an equally bad movie.  This does not impress me.

He's making it into a radio play. He has five episode summaries done, IIRC.
