We didn't really see alot of the Quarian lifestyle just the place where they do politics. I would have like to seen the living quaters of the Fleet.

But it was new. And I'm grateful we got even that.

Yes, but I was it be more like the book. Some living space for each Quarian that is decorated and busy market area where their Quarians trade goods.

That's your opinion and you are entitled to it, chap.

This is why even today, Quarians like Golo remains far more interesting.

Personally I'd rather have people I can trust and are emotionally invested in on my team than a couple of new people who are there for the sole purpose of teaching me about things that could be easily covered in the Codex or in a novel.

This is actually pretty sophisticated trolling: I'm impressed.  Hilariously you suggest that a younger version of Wrex somehow expands krogan character.

And then just as hilariously you ignore all the other quarians male and female introduced in ME2.

Good show.  But it's time for you to say goodbye, I think.

Your ability to withstand trolling is impressive, Buddha.

I, on the other hand, have just returned from my shed, pitchfork in hand.

None of the characters in Mass Effect really develop that much except for maybe Tali, Mordin, and Wrex. Everyone else seems to be a generic personality with a great voice actor.

Well I guess you can count Grunt too.

Its pictures like this that make me question whether or not to pick up the widow or revenant on my mainshep. Decisions decisions. But to make this on-topic, which do you think Tali would prefer? Unleashing a platoon's worth of ammunition with the revenant or the surgical widow?

Her preferred gun is a shottie.  Decidedly not surgically precise.

I give him points for originality at least.  Better than most attempts.

I agree there were missed opportunities in ME2, but Tali's development was still signficant. She was a lot less childlike. In most situtatuions, she seemed very mature and assured, yet still had that vulnerability that made her accessible. Plus, her accent and mannerisms were even sexier than in ME1. And she did expand upon the Quarians to some extent. Her loyalty mission on the Migrant Fleet in introduced us to Quarian politics, and their differing opinios on Quarians and the Geth. I personally felt that ME2 left Tali a much more rounded and believable character, not to mention even more loveable.

I understand that she was "more mature" in ME2 just like Garrus was "more darker" in ME2 but in the core, they were essentially THE SAME characters. As for Tali's loyalty mission, well that isn't really anything unique as they could have used another Quarian for that mission. I mean again, in ME1 she was very usefull but it just irks me that Bioware had to go the "American Idol" route and use the "fan vote" to bring back certain squad members. Who to have as a party member should be left to the writers, not popular fan opinion. I wanted Wrex back in ME2 as a party member, but after playing ME2 and seeing Wrex's role, I'm glad they didn't.

We have actually have more of an insight into the Quarian world through Tali, the Quarian sidequests, and Tali's loyalty mission, than most other races.

I'm being honest.  This is far more sophisticated than the average "HURRR" we get around here.  But he played his hand far too early.

This.  I mean, seriously, what do we really know about turians?  Garrus isn't doing half the job Tali is in that regard.

Canonically, Tali's a shottie girl. ;)

Lol, Grunt kind of just increased the "Proud Warrior Race" stereotype involved with the Krogan. He did not really develop them, just added to their somewhat one dimensionalness. Now Okeer...I liked that guy. Would have loved to have him on the squad.

No, its the truth! Bioware expanded upon the Asari race by using Samara and her Justicar background. From a squadmate perspective, we got to see the Asari in a different light from a much older and strict Asari in Samara compared to the much younger and naive Asari in Liara. Same with Wrex vs Grunt. From a squadmate perspective Bioware expanded upon the Krogan by giving us a younger and more brash Krogan who is seeking his place in the galaxy and as a Krogan compared to the older more "I wanna unite my people" personality in Wrex.

Bioware could have done this with the Quarians by giving us another female (or male) Quarian with a totally different personality, background, and ambitions. Instead we get Tali yet again because people were disapointed that they weren't able to have sex with her in ME1 so Bioware sacrificed the opportunity to bring in a new Quarian to bring back Tali and make her "more mature".

This is why even today, Quarians like Golo remains far more interesting.

I concede that they could have expanded more on the quarian race by adding a new squad member in place of Tali. However I am content with the expansion granted to us by allowing us to travel to the mirgant fleet itself and see quarian society first hand and I happen to greatly enjoy her characterization as a much more mature and refined young woman than she was in the original Mass Effect.
Furthermore I note that you appear to take considerable issue with Tali'Zorah as a character. That is your opinion and right. However it begs the question as to why you choose to come to a thread that states quite clearly that it exists for the sole purpose of being a hub for BSN members to come to enjoy being a fan of Tali with other like minded individuals.
Perhaps, if you would prefer to talk about how much you dislike Tali you can create your own thread to do so and find other like minded people to converse with.

Agreed, its a shame that they went with Grunt IMO.  Okeer could have been a great character :(

Grunt's character development. He goes from I want to kill everyone all the time. To I want to kill everyone part of the time and Shepard is cool now.

We agree.  Loved Okeer.  His entire philosophy was a fresh take on the Genocide situation.  I wish we had a Morinith/Samara kind of choice to decide who we got.

But it also fits Okeer's personality perfectly for him to die protecting that which he sees as perfect.
