Tali wasn't directly involved in the events depicted in the Ascension novel, so it's interesting that her reaction is really just a reaction of the general quarians at large. Rage against Cerberus for what they did against the quarian people even without being there for the events. Makes me think of what the general quarian population would feel about the events in retaking the Alarei even though such a small gathering were actually at the trial.
Actually, come to think of it, not that we saw any cameras, but I wonder if the trial was broadcast to the fleet at large.
Civilian populations getting deliberately attacked with intent to cause as much carnage as possible (no matter the actual objective) does tend to rile people up, yeah.
Everyone at the trial (bystanders, that is) seemed to know who Tali was, and have formed an opinion on her. She's famous, like the quarian Shepard or something.
Similarly, they're all chattering about the outcome of the trial. It'll be all over the Flotilla by the end of the day, tops.
