If bioware brought back Tali or Garrus because they had unfinished business with Shepard in ME1 and it HAD to be finished in ME2, then I'm fine. But I really believed that Tali's story should have ended in ME1. She only came along because she helped us find evidence against Saren PLUS she also knew a lot about Geth, the enemy that we fought for most of ME1. So it made sense to have her on the team, we get to use for for her knowlege of the Geth and she uses us for her pilgramage. Then by the end of ME1, her story really should have ended that. She helped us with the Geth/Saren and she recieved data to help her on her pilgrimage...her story should have concluded there and we both move on. OH BUT WAIT! Her story could not have concluded in ME1 because we couldn't romance her! So in an attempt to prevent backlash from not happening by excluding Tali from ME2, Bioware brings Tali back in ME2 and allows her to be a romance option to essentially "shut the fans up". Because in all honesty, I really believe Bioware had plans other than Garrus and Tali in ME2 but given how people wanted to romance them, they have to change gear and "fit them in" ME2. Thus taking away space for what they would have originally done had people not wanted to romance Tali and Garrus so bad.
