If bioware brought back Tali or Garrus because they had unfinished business with Shepard in ME1 and it HAD to be finished in ME2, then I'm fine. But I really believed that Tali's story should have ended in ME1. She only came along because she helped us find evidence against Saren PLUS she also knew a lot about Geth, the enemy that we fought for most of ME1. So it made sense to have her on the team, we get to use for for her knowlege of the Geth and she uses us for her pilgramage. Then by the end of ME1, her story really should have ended that. She helped us with the Geth/Saren and she recieved data to help her on her pilgrimage...her story should have concluded there and we both move on. OH BUT WAIT! Her story could not have concluded in ME1 because we couldn't romance her! So in an attempt to prevent backlash from not happening by excluding Tali from ME2, Bioware brings Tali back in ME2 and allows her to be a romance option to essentially "shut the fans up". Because in all honesty, I really believe Bioware had plans other than Garrus and Tali in ME2 but given how people wanted to romance them, they have to change gear and "fit them in" ME2. Thus taking away space for what they would have originally done had people not wanted to romance Tali and Garrus so bad.
If that's your opinion your entitiled to it, However it has already been noted and discussed. Now would be the time to bow out gracefully. Seriously informative text walls a great an' all, but this is borderline trolling at this point.
See thats just the thing. People assume that I am trolling because I have some negative views about Tali but that isn't the case. I'm not trying to start a flame war or anything. I just want to have a discussion about what are other people's opinions about Tali playing a role in ME2 vs that role being played by a new Quarian.
This is the Tali thread, where most if not all the Tali fans come to post. So I want to know what they have to say about Tali possibly taking up space for what would/could have been a NEW Quarian squadmate (male or female) in ME2. THAT is what I want to discuss but it would appear that such intelligent discussion isn't possible here as most of the discussion is short and simple nonsense.
Trolling is when I'm trying to angry people or say stupid stuff to get a stupid response. No, I'm trying to generate a thoughtful discussion about what possibilities ME2 could have had if Bioware did not bow down to the popular demand and bring back Tali for ME2.

Functionality, he saw Tali as a source for efficiency likely. She was useful, and wanted to put her to use.RiptideX1090 wrote...

See, I really didn't like her suit that much. It just seems muted. Bland.
Instead, I prefer the bold coloring and smooth silhouette that she got for ME2.

Udina even asks Tali what her name is. I don't think Udina is so much racist as he is a massive dick in general.
Or a politician.

Turns out that Tali's glowing white eyes have hypnotic powers.
Tali: You will let me join Shepard's crew.
Udina: I will let you join Shepard's crew.
Tali: You don't have to repeat everything you say.
Udina: I don't have to repeat everything you said.
Tali: Bosh'tet. . .
Undia: Son of a ****.
