Meh, I thought it worked out just fine. PC version doesn't need disc swapping and, in context, it makes sense to recruit Tali later (given the Illusive Man's reservations against her).Someone With Mass wrote...

I certainly wouldn't mind switching game discs. Only takes a second.
They didn't even take full use of it, either. Just so the average spoiled brat wouldn't have to lift his fat ass to change the discs more than two times.

Makes one think what the hell BioWare were thinking. If they were thinking at all. They made it so unnecessarily complicated, and cornered themselves with some characters.

It's also called lazy writting/poor planning, because I'm not buying the "it's because he doesn't trust aliens" excuse. He picked a guy named "Archangel" who he had next to no information on instead of Tali, who was clearly willing to help Shepard.

Well it would be a little weird to finish Freedom's Progress and then go recruit Tali immediately afterwards and she's somehow already on Haestrom, lol.

I wasn't saying it was "because he doesn't trust aliens." He doesn't know about HER. Period. Couple that with the Cerberus operations on the Migrant Fleet and I can understand his hesitation.Someone With Mass wrote...

Regardless, I didn't see it as poor writing; I actually thought it improved the flow of the game considerably to have Tali join up in the second half. It held much more impact for me to have Tali's loyalty mission near the end of the game then suddenly run into a geth that wanted to help. If I had done Tali's loyalty mission just after Horizion or something I would have felt like something was off.

I actually liked that I couldn't have Tali with me when I went to find Garrus. It was badassery at its finest to run into an old friend like that.Collider wrote...
JL has a point. I still kind of miss not being able to take Tali to Garrus' recruitment though.

IT does work out in that reguard, but in reality the time distortion makes it possible to do the "back to back missions" too. Since for instance Joker mentions it takes you liek what 4 hours to fly to the omega 4 relay? plus you spend "weeks" inbetween missions flying around I think.

I also wonder who came up with with the idea to put Legion so late in the game, well let's face it's one of the stupides idea to put him so late in the game.

And yet, no one questions how we can travel across the galaxy in the blink of an eye, while in the books it takes hours, if not days.

It's all about game flow. If we went to go grab Tali immediately after she told us "I wish I could go but I have a mission to take care of," it would have been horrifically bad pacing.Someone With Mass wrote...

It's implied, but not shown. Look at how you have "two hours" bedore the Suicide Mission--it's shown then because there's a reason to.Someone With Mass wrote...

It actually has to do with disc space on the 360, but I'd have preferred to be able to recruit him sooner in favor of one of the other characters. Grunt, perhaps (since the rest in that recruitment batch are either doubled to hubs (Garrus and Mordin, or Samara and Thane) or a love interest (Jack)).mrsph wrote...
