I'm about to take my first crack at writing some Shepard/Tali content (well, Garrus teasing Shepard about being romantically interested in Tali during the time of the first game and Shepard getting annoyed) I have no idea how will be received here, since I'm approaching it from something of a different angle of Shepard pining and wondering if pursuing a relationship would be selfish and with more attention given to the discrimination faced by quarians in the galaxy.

I doubt it would do anything to further discrimination against them. If anything, it would reduce it. Shepard is 'the best humanity has to offer' and if he can settle for a quarian so can everyone else.

Sheaprd is not "settleing." Tali is the best.

Not quite what I meant, Rune. I just meant that the fact that I'm paying more attention to the fact that quarians are the galactic punching bag and how that might affect the relationship with an exiled Tali during ME2.

That could be neat.  My Shep's Tali is exiled :V

missed the paragon check?

Yep.  But I kept it that way to make the story more interesting.

I know, I just don't think JTav would have appreciated that angle on the story.
Thank you XTV <_<

I wouldn't worry too much about it. If VGQ can get away with it, then the savior of the Citadel should do just fine. It's not exactly the first time a cross-species relationship has occured.

As funny as it is to hear Shala say "vorcha's ass", I, in no way, condone giving Tali this treatment. (Permanently, without reloading)

Look at me, I don't care~

Besides, didn't even talk to Shala after the trial, so I didn't know until someone posted those convos on YouTube.

I didn't set out to get her exiled, but I had no other choice on that playthrough, so I ran with it.  It makes the story more interesting, and that's why I play Mass Effect.

In my two main Paragon playthroughs, I obviously charmed my way into the Council's hearts to let Tali off the hook. I burned her father for my Renegade-ish playthrough and and I let her get exiled once; I definitely prefer the Charm option though. I haven't heard the Intimidate though; I haven't been able to get my Renegade high enough for it.

Hey fellow Tali-mancers. Been gone for about a month or so. Glad to see the world's sexiest shotgun-sporting space gypsy is still going strong.

And in all that time, I'm amazed that her appeal is still resonating so strongly with me. To say Bioware hit her development out of the park is a gross understatement. In all sense of the phrase, Tali is the complete package, sporting brains, talent, style, tenderness, strength, selflessness, and, even enough, looks. I just find it so refreshing still in this age of adolescence boob physics and scantily-clad, sexualized game icons that a character like Tali can not only exist but emerge as the predominate lady of the entire franchise. She undermines the obvious physical attractions of the more human-esque female leads like Ashley or Liara, bowls over a genetically perfected, artificially augmented supermodel like Miranda, and eclipses an entire race of hot lesbian blue-skinned alien women, all without so much as an inch of skin on display and all carried on the shoulders of her insurmountable charm, personality, and pitch-perfect character development.

I don't know if the clamor for her inclusion in ME3 as a front and center vital member of the squad is still ringing strong since my absence, but I'm going to assume that's still the case. It's a great sign of good scripting when a character such as Tali fully satisfies in every aspect of her presentation and yet leaves the player desperately wishing there was more content to explore with her by your side, specific to her and her alone.

Regardless, I'm sure stating that Tali was beyond well received, not just as a more fleshed out character but as an example of a strong yet vulnerable female lead, is old hat by now, but it hasn't gotten old with me yet. She can safely join the echelon of "ideal" game women alongside Alyx Vance, Samus Aran, and Chun-Li as practically presented yet universally beloved digital ladies. She exists to refute the assumption that gamers only care for a pretty face and serves proof positive that the strengths of attractive and alluring characters lie in the heart and soul of their personalities.

And we need much more of that, and of her.

It most certainly has not. By far the support has increased and over the last few days we've gotten many new people. It's actually quite amazing, the resurge in support. It never even died down but instead it's increasing. Glad to see you are back.

I have been lurking around in the forum for a long time now. Had some laugh, D'aaaaaw moments, and loss of man-cards from fics and posts. Then came the break of the 1st Migrant Fleet into 10k, then its sudden closure...which kinda strike me.

So I figured I guess I should stop lurking and join in the conversation. Can't help but to think you guys are reflections of ME Quarians. Denied a number of times of a 'place to settle' (Tali'Zorah boards v.1, v.2, v.3, v.4), trolled around by haters (trolls, Anti-Tali, etc...), but kept a strong community going (the 'Migrant Fleet') while getting resources in and around wherever is available (the Tali pics)

Romanced Ashley in ME1, but lost her in Vermire. Glad my mainshep lost her, because after ME2 came out...

I AM A PROUD TALIMANCER!!
