Its like the Alerei hug, without the sadness :wizard:

I'd be as interested to see Tali's reaction as anything else now that I think about it.  I'm thinking embarassed giggling and a playful shoulder push

"Yes, Tali, that's very sweet of you, but I have to go now. You really like to play with my hands. A piggyback? Eh...sure. Right after I'm done...no, taking antibiotics in the middle of a battle is probably not such a great idea. Oh, don't get me wrong. I appreciate the thought, but this is not the time. We'll talk later about this."

Romantic banter in the middle of a firefight?

Yes.

This is why I like the Tali and Garrus romances the best.  You got to know them as people and friends first, and from that, it became more.  That's always felt more authentic and worthwhile to me.

In MY opinion, and let stress that,
you're entitled to your own opinion, I'm just presenting mine. Miranda
is a Cerberus ****, and Jacob and Kelly are either liars, or ignorant.

Miranda
treats Shepard like **** when she first meets him, despite saving his
life, then does a heel face turn as soon as you get the ship. I don't
buy it. She's just smiling at you to keep you placated. She doesn't have
a problem with torture, played straight with what happens to Veetor if
you give them to Cerberus. And Jack... she's a total **** to Jack. From
their meeting on Purgatory, to the briefing on the Normandy, all the way
to the fight. You KNOW she instigated that fight, and if you side with
Jack, it becomes even more apparent that this is the case. Instead of
apologizing to Jack for the atrocities Cerberus inflicted on her, she
insults her and tries to get her kicked of the ship. Jacks'
term "Cheerleader" is appropriate in my opinion, a stuck up **** who
delights in causing unneeded Drama.

Jacob is either a fool or a
liar. Probably both. With Veetor, he tells you Cerberus wont' hurt him.
Meet Veetor later, you find out out they drugged him, forced him into a
lucid state, and failed to give him food or water, leaving him an insane
mess. He hates on Thane for being a mercenary, despite Thane actually
trying to do some good in the world, when Jacob himself works for
terrorists. Romancing him with a Femshep also leads to some interesting
Dialogue. If you show too much concern for him, he tells you to get lost
and go get it on with Garrus, who he refers to as a bleeding heart.
Break up with him for Garrus, and he calls Garrus a Cuddlebone it what
is CLEARLY a derrogotory way. Add to that his comment aboud AI to Tali
in the Comm Room, and suddenly his popularity drops. Miranda and Jacob
are terrorists, and it seems they somehow go out of their way to pick
fights or insult every other member of the ship.

**** them.

Holy
****ing ****. I didn't think I could hate them any more than I did.

This
is going to be a long post.

Miranda did seem to come off as
two-faced to me. She calls Shepard the galaxy's only hope in the first
few minutes of the game and then twenty minutes later she treats you
like crap. That really pissed me off. Then she acts all "Yes, Commander,
whatever you say" on the ship. She undermines your authority (which
would be grounds for court martial in the Alliance) at every step of the
way:

1. Aggravates the Quarian squad on Freedom's Progress.(I
wanted a renegade interrupt there.) "That's not how I would explain it.
It was nothing personal." This is bull**** if you read the second ME
book. The Quarians explained it exactly right. Considering you would
want to avoid a fight, especially considering their history, and get on
with the mission, it would have been smart to stay quiet and let the
Commanding Officer (Shepard) who has a history with the squad leader to
handle the situation instead of escalating it. Which it did when the
Quarian squad left Tali. ending up killing the soldiers. Yes I blame
her.

2. Same mission. Tells Shepard (her CO) to grab Veetor and
go despite Veetor being completely insane. Anyone with a basic
understanding of intel gathering would realize that they would get, at
best, no good intel, or at worse, terrible and false intel. This is
again undermining your authority.

3. While recruiting Jack, she
asks for access to Cerberus files. The Illusive Man tells you to use
whatever means to recruit these people. You agree to Jack's terms and
Miranda will argue with you that you (the CO of the damn mission) are
not authorize to do that.

4. Back to Lazarus station, executes
Wilson. Shepard will chastize her for killing him and logically
suggested they should have taken him to be qustioned. Cause just saying
he betrayed them all is not a good enough excuse. He could have been
working with other traitors. There could have been another faction.
Nope. Miranda executes him. Her reasoning? "Too much of a risk." Take
away his gun and omni-tool and he's helpless. The guy was shot in the
leg earlier. I doubt he would be that huge of a risk. So that was poor
judgement there because she created an even bigger risk to Shepard or
anyone else of being killed because they killed their only lead!

5.
She'll act aggressive towards some of the recruits especially to Jack.
This is not a smart move considering she's a super-powered biotic who
hates Cerberus. The fact she hasn't tried to kill every crew member is a
huge exercise in self-control. Aggravating her on puts the crew and
mission at risk.

6. She gives you the worse advice possible
during the final run. She'll undermine your authority by making herself
the leader of fireteam bravo. And she'll say that any biotic could
handle the shielding, which was false. Her advice can kill several
people, which is inexcusable for an XO.

I also have no idea what
makes her such a good "leader" for the suicide run. From the start you
can listen to audio logs from Wilson who describes her as standoffish
and never really thankful for any great strides made during the Lazarus
project. Yes, I know the project is meant to be as perfect as possible,
but having this attitude towards the few people who are able to do this
gain puts the whole operation at risk. I'm not expecting her to throw
them a party, but being thankful towards some of the progress could go a
long way. Might have stopped Wilson from going traitor (if he was).

She
shows a distrusts towards many of the crew and does not try to get to
know them or gain their trust, which is essential. If you get to the
suicide run the crew will make note of it. If Jack is alive, she say
that no one wants to take orders from her. To which some of the crew
will nod their heads agreeing. If Jack dies on the way, it will be
Garrus who will say "I don't want you leading the second team. Barely
half of us trust you." He said it right there. For there to be a good
team, there has to be trust. Miranda doesn't work towards that end. She
then chastize them by saying, "This isn't a popularity contest, lives
are at stake. Commander you need a leader who can command loyalty
through experience." This counters her argument that she should lead.
She led a medical team. That's it. No real team leader experience. Also
this is a popularity contest. In this case, who the crew trusts more.
Being a genius doesn't mean you can lead.

Miranda even says as
much about Shepard that despite all her enhancements, she can't hold a
candle to Shepard who may have little to no education. This is why I
alwasy picked Garrus to lead. He proven himself to be an excellent
leader and tactician. They only reason his team was taken out was due to
an elaborate betrayal by Sidonis.

Her arguments for Cerberus
experiments were poor as well. She'll argue that the Husks were already
dead (yeah after Cerberus planted those dragon teeth), etc. Of course
the Rachni would be too smart. The galaxy was attacked by the race. They
didn't just teleport around the galaxy. They built starships of their
own! Of course they're smart! Also later she'll suggest that you give
Legion to Cerberus for research which is retarded if you went through
overlord.

In fact the only good advice she gave was wait to build
the team before getting the IFF.

Now onto Jacob. He is an idiot.
With racist tendacies (didn't know about his views towards Turians, but
which makes sense during Garrus' recruit mission where if you leave
Jacob behind with Garrus, he showed a lot of resentment to the idea). He
doesn't like Turians. Again like Rip mentioned at the beginning of the
game with Veetor. Again poor move considering how unbalanced Veetor was.
He would have to be completely unaware of Cerberus interrogation
methods to say he wouldn't be hurt, considering what happened in the
second ME book. So this means he was lying. He had no idea what Cerberus
would do to him. He lied to a friend of Shepard's to get what he wants.

He
shows a disgusting amount of hyprocrisy towards Thane when calling him
out for being an assassin, calling him a "precise mercenary". Whereas
Jacob is... A mercenary for a terrorist organization. Thanks I'll stick
with the assassin.

I wanted to punch his face in when he made the
nonchalant suggestion to Tali to introduce herself to EDI the ship's
AI. Everyone in the DAMN GALAXY knows that Quarians hate AIs and have a
bad history to them. It would be like if your acquaintance (jacob's not
my friend) said to your jewish friend to introduce herself to Jeff, the
Neo-****. The situation of EDI should have been handled by the CO in a
calm, respectable manner.

Later he shows his ineptitude in
decision making when he suggests going after the Reaper IFF right away
despite making the comment that the crew isn't focused on the mission.
So he's willing to rush into a mission right away unprepared. That is
poor leadership. Which doesn't make sense to me why he's a candidate for
team lead.

He goes further by volunteering himself to go through
the vents despite not having any tech skills. He volunteers for ego
points. This makes the run suicidal towards himself and the entire
fricking team.

How the two managed to save the Council in ME:G is
beyond me. So yeah. To summarize. I don't like them. I really did try,
but one's arrogant and one's boring as hell. Add on these negative
traits that I mentioned from above and that covers it.

Yes.

I like to think that that's what ME1 was:

Tali: Take out those hostiles!

Shep:  You're so cute when you yell  *bullets hit around them*

Tali: Now is not the time!

I can't be the only one who fits cheesy pick up lines between Tali's during firefights, can I?
