That's another part of the whole relationship dynamic.  Tali said that she would stay on until Saren and his geth are defeated, but hunting down all of those geth is a long, and relatively simple task.  As time passes, Tali is forced to confront her feelings as she realizes that she isn't staying on the Normandy (and putting off returning to her people,) because of a simple geth scavenger hunt.

Tali was probably down in engineering and tried to keep everything from blowing up completely, while Shepard decided to for some reason play with his armor at the sleeper pods.

I will never understand why he's wearing pink armour. They obviously had to make a model for male armour, and his unique helmet, what resources did they save by making it pink?

Coding resources I guess...not a really good reason though.
