I find it interesting that every chance you get you seem to pit them against each other, yet your fiction is based on humor.

Keep going with that. Though if I might ask, what do you intend to do with Shala?

I wanted to do a follow-up of sorts to Last Son.

It's going to focus primarily on Shepard and Tali's relationship and how that pertains to Shala, who acts as the maternal figure for Tali. I'm thinking that, should she approve of their relationship, Shepard might look at Shala as a surrogate mother as well. Mindoir left him without a family. Tali is the closest thing he has to family and he wants to be part of her's.

It's still rough and is all just conceptual, but I really think some great things could be done here.

We would like to run a Reaper origin theory by all of you, please tell us what you think.
So, a very, very long time ago, a species decided that complete unity and transendance was what they all desired, so, using their advanced technology, they built a massive ship, converted every single being into an AI program, and uploaded themselves into the ship. As more species developed, they started giving them the same option, and soon there were many species-ships. After a long while however, some species didn't want to. Obsessed with their own power and not wanting any species to threaten the stability of their plans, they eradicated them. After several generations of this, it became the norm to simply kill all species, only offering transendance to a species they deemed worthy, i.e. Humans.
What do you think?

I think I prefer Sergio's origin theory instead.

I prefer them to be an imperfect couple.  Plus, conflict is interesting.

That does not mean they have to argue about everything. Not everything happens on screen, you know.

To answer your question...

A fleet of AI dreadnoughts outfitted with the scariest weapons I've ever even heard of?

My guess would be war.

When did I suggest they argue about everything?  Hell, in most fanfics, they don't seem to clash on anything.  They're a couple.  Arguments happen.

That would be such an extraneous war machine effort that the defense would likely cease to exist simply by seeing it. A war on that scale would be... Well... Ridiculous.

Considering their method of reproduction, we really have no idea how many of them there were originally.

Who cares? It changes nothing.

They still need to be stopped.
