How awful.

Mostly because I'm not fond of being told to **** off.

I find it hilarious.

Shepard: Hey, Jack! What's u-

Jack: **** off!

*Complete 180*

This is exactly why Tali is number 2 on my favorite character order, and Jack is rock bottom.

Also, on an unrelated note...is Into the Darkness any good? Where does it stop sucking, because I've read a few chapters and it feels a little disjointed.

Harold put a lot of work into that. I think he would appreciate it if you didn't say it sucked. The earlier chapters are less organized. Keep reading.

I thought I should make you all aware that I am working on a manifesto to denounce the council and call for the dismantling of their government. This is relevant to tali in that I am citing their discriminatory and racist actions against the Quarian people as a one of the main points in my argument.

That too. Though my point was that I wish we could have been friends with Jack.

I wonder if you can. Like if you don't romance anyone, and don't commit to Jack, maybe you can get the dialogue done with and then....aww fuck it, there are no loop holes.

Miranda and Jacob don't really irritate me, but I felt that they had a lot of potential that simply wasn't used or wasn't right. Maybe I'll write my thoughts on it.

Please do.  Gervaise would be interested :P

Every time I consider going back to writing fictions or even reading them, some comment like this ensures that I won't be doing that for a while.

...Not sure if want. I'll keep going...sorry about the suck comment. I'm still running a fever and I'm a bit irritable and trash-mouthed.

That's why I just stop talking to Jack after a certain point. That way I can pretend that all's good.

I have this theory that if you tell Jack you're just going to keep it professional (and her response ever after is "you're just pissing around" or something like that) that actually is her "platonic friend" state.

Jack and Liara suffer from "Bioware love interest syndrome" to the extreme.

Bioware, baby, you gotta write the romances for the character. Not the character for the romance.

Not friends. Platonic, yes, probably. I haven't thoroughly tested it out. But the game is still stupid about it. The first no I told Jack should have been enough.

What happens when you don't talk to them, I wonder. Like in ME1, it was even easier to avoid squaddies, I didn't talk to Ashley the WHOLE time and I guess it defaults to a handshake on Horizon, and by all indication, we had a nice friendship.

So as a captain, it's better that you completely ignore your squaddies than tell them you want to get to know them inadvertently leading them on and thus forcing you to make a choice resulting in sex or abhorration forever.

I feel so bad for Shepard.

The in game explanation is probably that you don't completely ignore them.  Only having 3 conversations in months is rather unbelievable, but obviously we can't see everything that happens.  If you don't talk to Ashley for example, you keep the friendship conversations, and just avoid the romance ones.

I completely ignored Liara in ME1 my last playthrough. Ironically, my attempts to avoid romance was thwarted by Ashley.

I like that they made the romance/fliriting triggers with Thane, Garrus, and Tali very obvious.

Do you mean that as in 'how will it change things in 3' or 'what happens with that character later on in 2'?

Apparently I bromanced the hell out of Kaidan in ME1 because he said losing me was like losing a limb...I love you too, bro.
