Sorta not really. Now those Grey Wardens...they're freakin hilarious.

He is boring. The Warden is more interesting, although not by much. I found nothing wrong with the Grey Wardens besides that we should have spent more time with Duncan.

Obviously BioWare needs to add a couple of us onto their staff. ;)

Yo dawg! We heard you liked overused jokes, so we put an overused joke in your overused joke so you can overuse the joke while you overuse the joke!

Man Tali fans are weired (i.e. she has ugly chicken feet).

Yeah, he is kinda dull. Most of his personality comes from what we read into him. And those parts of ourselves that we project onto him. Just imagine Shepard as you, then he's a bit more developed.

Isn't that kind of the point?

To the Members of the Citadel Council,

Hello.

Over the years, we have been watching you. Your campaigns of misinformation; suppression of dissent; your litigious nature, all of these things have caught our eye. With your decision to reject Commander Shepard’s claims of the Reapers despite heavy evidence to the contrary of your statements, the extent of your malign influence over those who trust you, who call you leaders, has been made clear to us.

We, who call ourselves External Affinity, have therefore decided that your organization should be destroyed. For the good of your followers, for the good of all sentient life we shall expel you from the galactic community and systematically dismantle the Citadel Council in its present form.

We acknowledge you as a serious opponent, and we are prepared for a long, long campaign. You will not prevail forever against the angry masses of the body politic. Your methods, hypocrisy, and the artlessness of your organization have sounded its death knell.

Let it be clearly known among your members that we are fully aware of your actions. Your political beliefs of democracy are not in question, we do not oppose them. However, your enforcement of political practices is despicable. Should your members be indoctrinated enough to believe that this is what is normal, let it be so.

The cause of our aggression is not because we want to take over your section of the galaxy and subvert your political beliefs into a totalitarian regime. To the contrary, we believe firmly in the concept of democratic rule of which the citadel council was founded upon. However, you, the members of this now elitist organization, should be aware of the reasons for which we attack your government.

We attack because your organization is attempting to subvert freedom of speech. We attack because of your use of the media to mislead the populace about the nature of Sovereign. We attack because of your abuse and discrimination against the quarian people. We attack because of the criminal activities of your Specters.

We attack because of your allowance of the use of genocidal force against the Rachni species and uplifting of the krogan before they were ready for such responsibility. We attack you for the subsequent use of the Genophage Bio-Weapon against the krogan when their population exploded as a result of safer worlds. We attack on behalf of the Krogan clans, the extinct Rachni, the quarians of the Migrant Fleet and others, all whom have either had their lives ruined or have lost their lives because of your inability to act against the established status quo...

The Council has committed hundreds of documented crimes, either by their own direct actions or by those under their direct control.

They have gone unpunished for decades due to their scare tactics and political power. We will not be deterred from this path of action, we cannot be bullied, bought, or negotiated with and we will not stop until the Council has either stepped down and answered for their crimes, or the government in place is eradicated and replaced by a republic that represents all races equally.

It is time the hammer of justice is brought upon them.

We will wield that hammer.

Interesting.

I must have missed this.

This group seems to take inspiration from Shepard as a figure, correct?

If all of my favorite characters are absent, I probably won't.

That's what makes the game for me.
The story is okay enough, but it's the characters that keeps me coming back for another play-through.

Indeed. If they were all reduced to cameos, I'd consider ME3, but only if it had some magnificent new characters, and a really good combat system. Otherwise...really counting on one of my top characters (Legion/Tali) returning. I'm just worried that because Tali and Garrus were in ME1, they'll be reduced to cameos because the other ME1 squadmates were left out. I'm completely fine with them being left out (excepting Wrex), but I know enough other people want the old characters back that BioWare will probably go with what those people want.

Still. Things could go a lot of ways at this point; decent chance of getting Tali and Legion back.

Some in-game character development would be appreciated at the very least

If you mixed Shepard with the Grey Warden, you'd get Malcolm Reynolds. And we coulda had Nathan Fillion as the VA, too. And if wishes were horses, we'd all be eatin steak.

Well, actually I am to rip out people's hearts and show it to them, but if I keep pumping out tragic fiction, than everyone's going to build up an immunity. And we can't have that. . .

Agreed. Allow the player (us) to answer some questions about our past.  Then you can get Tali's/any character's reaction to it, and you flesh out Shepard.  This, also, wouldn't remove the 'this is My Shepard' feeling, as everyone could choose to answer it in a different way.

I agree. I'd like the relationship to be more of a two-way street. It would be awesome if Tali asked about his people, or explored his feelings more.

actually I just started this today. and confidentially it was Shepard himself who wrote the peice and distributed it on the extranet. EA doesn't exist per se its an idea.
