Well, Tali was originally planned out to be a available romance to both femShep and male Shep, but was scrapped for reasons unknown. (some people would eat that stuff up)

I think it would lose half of the male Tali fanbase if that was the case.

This thread just has a ridiculously negative reaction to anything relating to Tali as a potential LI for femShep.  I have a hard time seeing how it would hurt her popularity myself.

Tali's dialogue as femShep is just as bad as Garrus' as maleShep.  Bioware completely dropped the ball with the whole romance or nothing crap for all LIs.

Yeah.

Some more friendly conversations would be nice for ME3. Feels a little pathetic that I have to almost take them all the way to the bed to hear them say something interesting.

Having femShep act as Tali's big sister is totally cute/awesome enough.  Heck, now I'm thinking about making a femShep to romance Garrus and be totally cool with Tali.

I was a little...shocked over how few dialogues Garrus has in ME2 if you play as male Shep. To hear him talk abut the time he bonked that scout and his team on Omega sure is fun, but that's pretty much all you'll get out of him.

Now, compare that to Tali's dialogues...Posted Image

A reversal when it comes to Jack. As femshep you get more dialogue with her as you help her get over her past, whereas you have to romance her as male shep to do the same.

Interesting.  That's a plus for femShep that I wasn't aware of.  I always did hate the negative path you're forced into as maleShep with Jack.

Rune it's probaly the one who has the strongest apinions the matter, but for myself I don't mind Tali as a loveinterest for femShep.

Tali is a people person everyones needs before her own which is a bit sad when you think about it.

Only slightly Rune.  To wrench it back all topical like, Ii honestly could have seen it with Tali - no offense to the prurient's on the thread. All of her dialog, up to the linking suits dialogue, is exactly the same. Same inflections even. It honestly seems like an odd choice to leave out, given how near identical the dialogues are.

I guess Thane's is in a similar situation? I can't say for sure, as I don't talk to him as a femshep - I have zero interest in his romance, so he is not that interesting to talk to. I could see Tali swinging that way - the issue is more about trust and acceptance than hormones. At least initially. And seeing that fulfilling a biological imperative to procreate does not apply to either a male or female Shepard for Tali, then it is likely the person, not the gender she would be attracted to.

Also, the Asari bring an interesting skew to the role of gender and romance in the ME world, based on their primarily feminine form for a mono-gendered race. I would think same sex pairings as a taboo have largely been done away with in Galactic society.

On the converse, I could see it being frowned upon on the Flotilla, mostly due to eh necessities of population control required. I could see even same sex couples being required to acquire a surrogate to produce an offspring with. For population control.

Anyway, these are my thoughts, not yours.

I agree with most of what you say, and I could easily see it as well.  The thing that I see brought up whenever this is is the population thing on the flotilla, and its not an issue.  They limit population to control growth.  Having a quarian not able to have a child doesn't hurt, because they can relax the rules and let someone else have 2 to compensate.

They would be stupid not to.
Edit: Thinking about this, they probably didn't.

Probably. I imagine she would be quite a catch to the average quarian.

Oh, not saying he isn't interesting.  I just have seen all of his non-romance dialogue through a maleshep, and have a non-positive interest in seeing his romance dialogues.  Simple as that.

Honestly, I could see the Femshep/Tali dialogue having more Dialogue, from Tali anyway. When she is listing her objections why she can't take the chance, and you should be happy with someone else, I could see the added little bit of dialogue:

Tali:"...and it might be acceptable with the rest of the galaxy, but the Flotilla really frowns on it..."

Which would give you a third 'left question' under investigate. To find out why it is frowned on. Then the dialogue would proceed the same as with a Male Shep.

It could work, yo!

You mea 2 quarians unable to have children.  Depending on the population rations for men:women, this could be a minor or a major hurdle.

Not that it can't be gotten around. Just that, as I stated, it would make it slightly frowned on but not outright outlawed or taboo.

Rael'Zorah probably never showed his love to his daughter directly, but I can still picture him as the father with a shotgun in his hands when someone attempts to woo his little girl.

That sounds plausible.
