You're so helpful Buddha. Getting Legion on to the Normandy shows a great deal of understanding towards the geth.

I try.  Someone has to clean the place up.

Exactly, especally during his loyalty mission. That voicework was spectacular.

(Kikai may or may not be biased)

Specifically, the whole "How could we have become so different?" part of that scene. I want to give him a hug because he sounds so dejected :crying:

Okay, I have a question for you all on the subject of the VA work. Did it bother the hell out of anyone else when Tali took off her mask and sounded exactly the same as when she was wearing it? I expected at least some of the distortion to drop, but it didn't sound even remotely different.

Actually there is a slight change in her voice. It's difficult to hear, but it's there.

I noticed that too.

It's easy to miss. I mean, it's just a single word.

Okay, yeah, I do notice a tiny change in it.

Legion: *shrugs* Where did we go wrong?

And I thought: "Woah. Didn't expect such a emotional expression from someone like him."

Yeah, for the most part, that's how I felt. Some seriously depressive stuff going on around those people :(

In regards to Legion, I imagine Shep having some fun with him first joining the crew.

I see Shep taking Legion on a tour of the Normandy and just acting as if nothing is out of the ordinary.

Shep: Here is the Normandy's Armory Legion. Jacob, could you be a sport and give Legion his weapons. Also, you know that Widow sniper rifle? The one that can tear a man in two with a single shot? Legion needs to make sure it's properly calibrated.

*Garrus suddenly pops in*

Garrus: Did someone say calibrate?

I think it's rather interesting how they have him doing so much body-language. I wonder if that was intentional, or just economic use of animation files.

GARRUS NEEDED A BRO HUG DAMMIT!

Jack too.

Mordin needed a pat on his shoulder.

Grunt needed a brofist.

Samara and Thane were good with what they got.

Well except for Zaeed who was pretty much being a crazy ****...and Grunt who just got to kill a bunch of animals.

But I really, really wanted to hug Mordin and Thane.

Interesting.  Wonder why.  Did they do two versions to see which sounded better:  one with the last word and one without?

Grunt needed a broheadbutt.

Legion: Consensus. We prefer the Widow M-98 Anti-Material Rifle. Removing heatsink. Preparing calibrations.

Garrus: Aww. Sounds so much better when I say it...

Few people know that it took 100 takes for Keener to finally get the calibrations line perfect.

Probably to make sure it was distinctly separate from the "normal" sounding voice. It's likely triggered in the animation file itself so it comes out at the correct moment.

EDIT: At least, if this were NetImmerse and I was making that scene, that's how I'd do it, because there's text keys in KF animations that let you add sound effects. I can't imagine why it would be any different.

The most expressive animation I've seen him do is when he's talking about the mass of a planet.Posted Image
