Never gave it any thought, really. I'm guessing it's education through example. For the technological bits, anyway.

Formal education...probably parents doing the teaching. Or extranet vids.

I'd guess its a pretty standard system.  All kids going, probably until they leave for pilgrimage.  I'm leaning towards ships being set aside for school purposes, rather than each ship handling its own needs.

I´d think they´d have some sot of elementary school to learn the basics like writting/reading and stuff like that.

Then since the quarian society revolves around machines there should be some kind of engineer/mechanical school when they´d learn everything they need to keep the ships working and stuff.

And finally when they reached a certain age they would have some sort of training school to get them ready for their pilgramage.

*Tali lets loose with the Revenant, the majority of the high-velocity rounds missing their intended target set up at one end of the Cargo Bay. Tali fumes under her mask, turning to Shepard.*

Tali: I really don't know how you use this thing. It's so innaccurate! Keelah, it's like it was built to miss!

*Shepard moves closer to Tali, holding his armored body up to hers as his hands join hers on the rifle.*

Shepard: It's not a very accurate weapon, true. But it makes up for it in firepower.

*Shepard's eyes move down the makeshift targeting range, Tali following his gaze. Shepard whispers into her audio enhancers.*

Shepard: Your target is at long range. The trick at long ranges with the M-6 is to aim for the midsection and move down to compensate for the muzzle climb. Otherwise, you'll end up spraying rounds everywhere.

*Tali aims down the sight of the weapon, no small task considering her visor. Shepard's finger brushes her's at the trigger.*

Shepard: You just have to move with it. Ready?

*Tali nods, the soft fabric of her veil brushing against Shepard's cheek.*

Shepard: Aim...

*Shepard feels Tali's fingers curl around the trigger, his own pushing gently on top of hers.*

Shepard: Fire.

*Tali squeezes the trigger, letting the mass-accelerated rounds fly through the air in bright streaks of light as Shepard pushes the weapon down with her to compensate for the muzzle climb. Tali stops, examing the bullet-ridden target at the far end. Shepard deftly ejects the heat sink as Tali turns her silver eyes to him and smiles.*


'Cuz I'm pretty sure I heard somebody say "Revenant".

I could see this in training her with assault rifles. Instead of just a quick little upgrade window, you get a full on scene with training.
