Maybe Xen will chill the f out after Legion and the True Geth show an olive branch and cooperate with the Quarians.

We'll see in a few years.

This is what makes or breaks her for me.

She accepts peace? She has my unwavering support as the only competent Admiral on the board.

If not? I'm gonna have to kill her, and that leave... ****, I don't know. Tali? But I doubt Tali would want to be an Admiral.

Xen.

Gerrel is a fool. Korris is a spineless coward. Shala is too conservative.

Until they have enough resources to contribute to galactic needs they're going to have to make do with the embassy I give them. No offense, but all council races must provide for the galactic community militarily and in times of need and the quarians just don't have the resources or personal.

I never turned in the evidence so I can't really speak about that, but it seemed like Shala knew how to work the Admiralty Board and gave good advice before the trial.

This is EXACTLY my problem.

Shala is a politician. She manipulates Tali into showing shock during the trial. Good intentions? Yeah. But frankly, that was unacceptable to me.

Why I choose Xen is the same reason I choose Anderson. They're both honest. Neither one of them play the political game. They simply do their jobs. Anderson? Reapers are real. Shepard's a badass. Get over yourselves. Xen? Ten to Fifty units on the Alerai. This Trial is a shame. I want to enlsave geth. Take Disruptor Ammo. There is none of this manuevering like you see with Udina, or Shala, Gerrel, or Korris.

Its worth noting that the quarian military is largely a mystery to us now.  With the ability to remove no combatants from the battlefield, they may be able to field a similar amount of power to the weaker council races.

And that's exactly why I hate politics...I want to see someone say 'This is ****ed up, and it's time we fix it' And then actually have a plan to do it.

And not be kneecapped by people who want to keep their wealth or something.

Ok...politics and religion will set me off. You can talk about rape, murder, shinbolts, whatever...but damn do polichickens ****** me off.

That's a bull**** line to keep the "lesser races" under the Council's heel. The real reason the Council is so elitist is the same reason why they didn't help the quarians during the Morning War.

Unless you have the guns to give them trouble, they're content to step on you.

Maybe when the Reapers have wiped out a few trillion turians, asari, and salarians, they'll have the good sense to beg the quarians for some fleet support. When that day comes? I want ot be there.

Of course, I know we're going to disagree on this, so maybe it would be better not to get into it?

Not sure if this has been put out there, being new here and whatnot, but possibly Kal'Reegar? I put Anderson in as the human rep, so it fits, kinda... (Even though Anderson kinda... well, you know, in Retribution)

The Council is a pretty ****ing bad idea in general. Wouldn't it just be a lot better to make a sort of galactic senate or something instead of relying on four races who may or may not care that much about your species?

Reeger would be an interesting choice...

It would.

If the races in control weren't so utterly powerhungry.

That's pretty much my opinion.  I hate the idea of some races inherently having more power, regardless of how capable they actually are, or who's interests they have at hand.

Shala was manipulative and she did play the political game, but it was because she was looking out for Tali's interest, not any political concern. I don't see that as such a bad thing. Also, if you're looking for honesty in a political leader, why not Gerrel? I don't remember him being deceptive at the trial and he seems like the most Anderson-like.

He knows his stuff.  If you keep him and Veetor alive then you can rally the crowd in Tali's loyalty mission.  It's awesome.

I can understand their intentions, what with the Quarians unleashing the geth...Oh, wait, the Geth unleashed themselves, but the Quarians attacked first.

The council could've helped, but it's easier to let one race get nearly wiped out because of some trigger happy political people.

But that was 300 years ago. I think it's time they all calm down, take a deep breath, and pull their heads out of their asses.

The largest fleet in the galaxy needs a home. Quit being ****kickers and help.

Probably for the best, I was declared a troll earlier for my support of the council.

At least my love for the council is more defendable than RedTracer's love for Cerberus.

Again, turn in the evidence, and you learn some interesting things. Turns out, Gerrel was hoping that if Tali went to the Alerai, she would destroy any evidence of Rael performing illegal experiments on the geth, as discrediting him makes war impossible. And he also was extremely eager to blow the Alerai up, even when having not heard from Tali, probably as an added measure to make sure the experiments didn't get out. Shepard calls him out on this in several of the speeches.

Gerrel is worse than Korris, in my opinion. His damn war was more important than his friend's life, as well as his daughter's.

I really think the admiralty board is just like every other politician in ME.  Bioware really hates them some politics.  But on topic, Shepard shouting at them may cause them to see reason.

The Council in ME universe is the mirror image of the Leage of Nations prior to the outbreak of the Second World War, where three (or four, in this case) top-governing power have the absolute voice over other members of the organization. "Elitist", yes, and by far failed miserably on preventing an outbreak of war.

I see the Citadel council collapsing in ME3 when the Reapers attack, with a new Council that mirrors the United Nations rise from the ashes with all member races treated as equals. By that time comes, I'm guessing most of the homeworlds were either scorched, or has been processed by the reapers. Where do they run? The largest fleet in the galaxy; the Migrant Fleet.

Oh, how I wish you could dish it out on the council in the 3rd game...It would be awesome.

I'd pretty much tell all three to line up shoulder to shoulder, and back-hand each one. I wanted to do that in the first game.

Well, I didn't know a lot of this stuff. I guess I'll have to try turning in the evidence some time. I still think think Shala would the best choice because she struck me as intelligent and possessing a better moral compass than some of the other admirals, but I see where you're coming from with Xen.

Guy: The quarians could probably evacuate us with all of their ships...but they are nowhere near here.

But only if Xen can't be paragoned.
