So I tried shooting a pistol with three fingers and it doesn't work too well. Hats off to Tali.

And my Tali always uses the hand cannon.

She's a bit of a badass. B)

yeah, 9mm probably can't touch whatever the hand cannon shoots.
She must have a great grip.
*remembers hand holding dream*
Indeed.

A great grip...  well that bodes well... B)

And yeah. Tali with the hand cannon is just monstrous.

I understand he was driven. I respect he wanted to give his daughter the whole world, and did everything he could to do it.

But the man couldn't even tell her he loved her... his own kid... who did ANYTHING he asked her to. Meet impossible odds? Sure, dad. Bring back an impossible Pilgrimage gift? Not a problem dad, anything for you. Go on hazardous missions that would be deemed suicidal by any sane person? Not a problem, I love you too, dad.

And he couldn't even tell her he was proud of her, or that he loved her.

THAT is unacceptable. That is unforgivable.

This.

The diologue on the Alerai really tugged at my heart strings. "All I ever wanted was a father who would take the sick time to see me". That's powerful stuff. No matter how busy of a person you are, you can always make time to tell your daughter you love them. If a soldier can get on a damn beat up web cam in the desert, log on to a ****ty internet connection, so they can say they love their family, Rael has no excuse.

@ Rage

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's done that.

I'd be content just to play with her fingers for a few hours... ^_^

I have a less harsh view of Rael than Riptide. I've seen such harsh upbringings collapse and sometimes they produce, well, not the best of relationships, but ones based on some sort of understanding of why it worked out the way it did. Based on Tali's description of her father from ME1, I thought it would be the latter sort of relationship in the end. Seeing his final message on the Alarei and her reaction to it is fueled with such strong emotion, I can only take that as a measure of their relationship to a point.

But other than that, anyone else read Retribution? I just got three paragraphs into it and I'm already arguing with the book about red giant stars.

That proves nothing for Rael, only Tali. Tali clearly loved her father. She was willing to express it. Rael was not. Sure, there may have been mutual respect, and Rael seems like he loved his daughter enough to do the things he did for her. But not taking a single sick leave to share a day or two together? Never saying you're proud, or you love them? It's not like Tali was a lazy **** up. She did EVERYTHING her father ever wanted, and MORE. She is easily one of the best soldiers in the fleet. She a genius hacker, programer, technician, mechanic, and machinist. She's risked her life NUMEROUS times at her father's whim. After all of that, if you can't even say you're proud of your kid, there is something wrong with you.

I've long since learned to shut my brain off when reading most sc-fi. Because If I don't I will just go insane.

Dont most of the guns have a rather large trigger guard to accomodate the tri digit races i would think turians would have weapon designs quarians could use... and yes Tali is very badass! and i wonder if pre exile weapons resembled geth design since they have no trigger gaurd and a very large trigger.Posted Image

Indeed.

Eezo?

What the hell is Eezo?

That a Muppet character or something?

Let it go. The characters and plot are what matter.

How can you do all the things you do, with five fingers? Wouldn't it be easier if you had a steady hold with just three?
- Well...I have a steady hold of you.

We really don't know much about Tali's or Rael's pass, for all we know Tali may have treated her mother just like Rael treats her.

Tali and Garrus probably think humans look pretty clumsy with their inferior five fingered hands.

Seriously... the animations for the Tali romance are just perfect...

D'awwwful hand holding? Check.

Nervous hand wringing? Check.

Adorable bouncing and hopping? Check.

Tender holding and feeling up of back and arm? Check.

I'm pretty damn happy with the Talimance we got. :wizard:

A while ago, I wrote up a possible way the Quarian Question could go down in ME3. Basically, if you go Pro-Peace, you convince a majority of the admirals; at a minimum, Raan, Koris, and whoever is the replacement for Pops. You can pull an Upper Left Blue/Lower Left Red on Gerrel. However... Xen refuses to make peace with the geth. 'would you make a peace accord with your omnitool or your shoulder pad?' She skulks off.

Later, you learn that she has flown off and apparently has managed to finish Rael's work and means to put it to use. You take off after her. Koris insists to come to try to talk her down, and so does Gerrel if you convinced him. Once you get to Xen, she won't back down no matter what... the only way to thwart her is to kill her. Several options; obviously, if Legion is there, you have to talk them down from shooting because that'd just screw EVERYTHING up with the peace process. She taunts you with "You won't shoot me". At that point, you can Renegade Interrupt and do it yourself... or not. After that, if only Koris is there, he shoots. If Gerrel is there... he shoots instead of Koris, much to the surprise of everyone.

If Gerrel is convinced and shoots, he very nearly retires on the spot because he has the blood of a fellow Admiral on his hands, but can be convinced to stay on; the Quarians need an admiral skilled in war for the looming Reaper threat, and he's the resident grizzled war dog on the admiralty board.

If you're pro-War, switch a few names around; Koris takes off in a last-ditch effort to warn the Geth, Legion turns their guns on you and you may end up dropping them on the spot (if present, if not, you better have some really freaking high Paragon/Renegade to convince them when you get back... basically kinda like Shale and the Anvil of The Void).

The one to convince this time is Admiral Raan, who becomes the surprise shooter, with Xen being the one who does it if Raan isn't present and you don't Interrupt.
