I understand how you can hate Cerberus.  But Terra Firma?  What have they ever done to you?!

They can be damn abrasive to your squadmates in ME1. One of Ashley's shining moments if you have her and Tali in your party when Saracino talks to you.

When I had that setup, Tali didn't really do much anything, Ash did all the lid-flipping at them.

What happened in your play-thru with that?

I think it was Tali that said something, Saracino got mad at her, Ashley then defended her. That, or it was a fanfic I read a long time ago. It's been a while since I've even used that squad in ME1

For the most part, the guys is polite, I'll give him that, but I disagree HEAVILY with his message. As long as the guy and his group don't do anything to me, I'll leave them well enough enough.

Mentioned this a while back. One funny outcome however, if you recruit Liara after doing all the other main missions, she thinks she's going crazy. I just thought that was rather funny, mainly because I hadn't known that until I did it recently just to see what would happen.

You're not reading between the lines.

What I'm REALLY saying is if that meatsack comes within ten feet of Tali, I'll rip his throat open with my teeth. Same goes for anyone else that so much as gives Tali a dirty look.

It would be hard to have a problem with Tali. She's just about the greatest ambassador the Quarians ever had.

What?  Where are you getting that?  Saracino is their leader.  I think his election would represent what the majority believes.

Mordin even says that Terra Firma is unstable, in comparison to Cerberus.  I'm quite willing to assume that there are a few fringe members... but come on...  they aren't all racist.

Again, let's use a real world example. American history.

It's like the Confederacy. Yes, most of the people behind it are actually reasonable people with great ideals. Ideals I support. More power to the states. Less power to the federal government. Free trade. Ect.

But then you have the people who abuse that and use it as an excuse to promote slavery. Terra Firma's rascists.

Then you have the REALLY bad people, the KKK, to which Cerberus is an analogue.

Even the leaders translate. Saracino and General Lee, for example. Both upstanding people who had some good ideas. Unfortunately, their talents and gifts are wasted on people who don't understand them.

Yes. The Confederacy did have some brilliant ideals. Ones I hold very dear to my heart, and I don't say that about many things. But at the end of the day, I can't condone the price I'd have to pay to support them. Same with Terra Firma. Stronger humanity? HELL YES. But not at the price of the people I love being spit on, their people being looked at with mistrust, and the spread of hate and bigotry against them. I'll find a better way.
