We really don't know much about Tali's or Rael's pass, for all we know Tali may have treated her mother just like Rael treats her.
Yeah, b!tch, all you did was to push me out. What the hell do I owe you?

i think bioware did good by not revealing her face, it just builds up the desire and excitement for ME3. it also adds to the allure and mystere of tali, we dont know what she looks like but we all fell in love with her personality. she is a blank canvas, upon which we paint and dream of what we want our love to look like.
So Quarians are the Shy Guys of Mass Effect?Kalashnikov wrote...

Her suit. Though that doesn't make sense since every quarian has a different colored suit (and Tali's was blue in Mass Effect)

Night elf fetish.
And maybe because she wears a lot of purple. But that would make no sense at all.
i don't mean substitute a pretend face, it allows for our own interpretation of what we think she looks like. while of course im unhappy her face wasnt revealed; for me, it just made her all the more interesting.Phil725 wrote...

Completely disagree personally. They added an anticipation factor for ME3 in spite of role playing feel in ME2. I don't think it was a good move personally, I would still be waiting for ME3 regardless, but now I'm stuck with a complete disconnect on me actually being Shep as is intended. The allure as far as I see, is gone. I already fell in love with her without seeing her face. We've gotten to the point in the relationship where the love and trust was strong enough for her to take off her mask and show Shep. Not seeing her face when she takes the mask off doesn't preserve mystery, it just breaks the moment.
As far as painting the dream face? That's not my thing, I just see the mask for now. She has a face, and it will be beautiful when we see it, I don't need to substitute a pretend face to make me like her more.

What Phil said. If you like her for the mystery... I don't know what to say.Phil725 wrote...

Its the latter for me. I've never played a game with a night elf, so that's not the reason. Achem's (sp) razor, sometimes the simplest explanation is the correct one

Grey is sexy.
Don't judge me.
