i think bioware did good by not revealing her face, it just builds up the desire and excitement for ME3. it also adds to the allure and mystere of tali, we dont know what she looks like but we all fell in love with her personality. she is a blank canvas, upon which we paint and dream of what we want our love to look like.

We really don't know much about Tali's or Rael's pass, for all we know Tali may have treated her mother just like Rael treats her.

Yeah, b!tch, all you did was to push me out. What the hell do I owe you?

Riiight...

Judging by how warmly she greeted Shala'Raan, I don't think it was that way.  Raan and Mama'Zorah were so close that they linked up, remember.  I think she was close to Mom, and by extension, 'Auntie Raan'.

Most people think Tali has purple skin, why is that?

Her suit. Though that doesn't make sense since every quarian has a different colored suit (and Tali's was blue in Mass Effect)

The suit makes me think of purple when I think about her appearance personally.

Plus, purple is hawt

Well, she was mostly black when I played.Posted Image

But I guess it was just some artists who couldn't decide on what skin color to use. Or maybe he/she wanted to try something different and exotic.

I don't know.

Completely disagree personally.  They added an anticipation factor for ME3 in spite of role playing feel in ME2.  I don't think it was a good move personally, I would still be waiting for ME3 regardless, but now I'm stuck with a complete disconnect on me actually being Shep as is intended.  The allure as far as I see, is gone.  I already fell in love with her without seeing her face.  We've gotten to the point in the relationship where the love and trust was strong enough for her to take off her mask and show Shep.  Not seeing her face when she takes the mask off doesn't preserve mystery, it just breaks the moment.

As far as painting the dream face?  That's not my thing, I just see the mask for now.  She has a face, and it will be beautiful when we see it, I don't need to substitute a pretend face to make me like her more.

Night elf fetish.

And maybe because she wears a lot of purple. But that would make no sense at all.

...That analogy fits really well for some reason.

Now I can't stop thinking of the Volus as goombas.

Along those lines though, the default quarian's suit is purple as well.  That's a game limitation, but ignoring that, a possible reason for 90% of quarian suits being purple would be skin color.

I still maintain that her suit was purple in ME1 as well, could be a lighting/sight thing, but I never thought blue with the suit.

Its the latter for me.  I've never played a game with a night elf, so that's not the reason.  Achem's (sp) razor, sometimes the simplest explanation is the correct one :wizard:

i don't mean substitute a pretend face, it allows for our own interpretation of what we think she looks like. while of course im unhappy her face wasnt revealed; for me, it just made her all the more interesting.

I don't think they should ever show her without the mask. Part of what makes the character unique is the emphasis on personality rather than looks. I still can't envision her without the mask.

I just go with a paler version of Liz Sroka's face.

Perfect for Tali.

What Phil said. If you like her for the mystery... I don't know what to say.
Also, the Mission Complete screen bothered the hell out of me
