ive always hated the batarians. Its one thing to be a race of space-pirates. Its quite another to simply submit to it and not TRY to make a better life for yourself.

Blame their government.  I'm sure there are plenty of good batarians, but they follow the laws, and thus, don't leave the homeworld.  When the only members of your race that people see are the criminals, its not usually a positive image.

I like this interpretation.

Makes sense to me.

There is no facial expression for 'been quarian pounced', other than a grin so wide that it would put the Joker to shame.

Tell you what I'd like to see in the next game, is Tali and Garrus having a sort of Brian and Stewie kind of friendship where he's always trying to get a rise out of her and then she ends up socking it to him. Oh man this could have so many mini-fics to it.
