This. We let every other quarian have a job. That slave quarian can be both freed and be given a job at that company.

Kenn already have a job. You just prevented the elcor from shutting him down/ripping him off.

But Lia gets nothing. Not even a dime.

Well...she wasn't exactly in a bind that prevented her from completing her pilgrimage. Kenn needed the money for getting on with his, and Slave Quarian has a way out with SI.

You can't just hold their hands during pilgrimage. They have to work for it.

I think being taken into custody for vagrancy is more than just a bump in the road.

It's akin to helping someone with their homework...If you do it for them, they don't learn the lesson.

Pilgrimage has a few different interpretations, one being that you don't know what you have till you're separated from it, another is straight-up finding a gift for the fleet that affects the whole system, like Geth data.

If I have to give every damn quarian a job I'd have to fire everyone on the Normandy.

This is always how I looked at the whole Lia situation.  You help her out of her problem keeping her from completing her pilgrimage, and then let her continue on her way.

I think Lia was a big girl and didn't need much more than the immediate help. I mean, she came to the Citadel to work EVA salvage. That's rough stuff. She'll be fine.

Well yeah, a gentle nudge is good. Buying her a big, expensive ship and sending her on her way doesn't teach her about how most people are dicks, some are nice, and that making your own future rocks ass.

Maybe Shepard could have offered her a lift to some where that was hiring Quarians. Or given her the contact info of someone who might have work for her and didnt mind quarians like......that guy from Bringing Down the Sky DLC.( or did he die?)

it's hard to get work when nobody wants to hire you.

since we don't know most of them it would be a wise choice.

I would only keep Gartner Ken and Gabby.

EDIT: since the quarians are great with ships.

Also true, TTTX. Such is the plight of the Quarian race. Maybe some underhanded Shep-backhanding will change people's perspectives.

C'mon guys. In ME 3 we will take rannock from the geths, either by diplomacy or by force, and this whole pilgreamage thing won't be necessary any more. Isn't that an consoling thought?

Hold on Lia!

I think the pilgrimage will be important even after resettlement on Rannoch. There'll still be a need to get out and see the galaxy.

Also tough to get a job when you're almost kicked off the Citadel.

All I want to do is to point Lia in the right direction. It's like you said, no one wants to hire her. In that case, I think it's acceptable to get help from people.

yes it is, but until ME3 is out, I say we can discuss this as much as we.

Wait a minute. Veetor technically failed his pilgrimage, so that means he will never become a man :(

The Fleet will send him off again once he recovers.
