Oh...Yeah...good memories. Sad ones too.

Not saying I was there. I just know what you mean.

A Tali purr does not mean she is a cat. We humans purr quite well, I'd record my wife to prove it but parts of my anatomy would suffer so best I don't.

I can do the purr...I can do the movie raptor growl too.

Indeed, purring does not imply feline origin.

But don't people roleplay like....acting like cats....making a clawing gesture and going "meow"?

Purring is some kind of roleplaying I never heard of.

cause we like to make that Quarian  'kitty' purr ... OH god it is too early

I would definitely pay for a DLC that just had Tali purring though......Some things ARE totally worth it.

Like a purr during the cuddling in the cabin.

I'd DEFINITELY pay for that.

Oh, sure.  I try to keep my own speculation to what parts of them we can see.  Humans were probably endurance predators and we didn't need fangs or any of that stuff.

Depends, Neanderthals were ambush predators too.

Still, I'm not quite sure what to think of quarians being ambush predators, it seems likely, but we'd have to get some in-game evidence to be sure.
Their legs certainly wouldn't allow for very fast, or long sprints (thanks to their bent shins, they can't stretch their legs as far as we can and still land flat on/at the tip of their feet), their legs wouldn't allow for leaping either, though they would allow them to jump higher in place.
The latter, combined with the fact that they could probably make some short, but powerful thrusts with their legs when running could allow for almost "glomp"-like assaults, so I reckon they had to be ambush predators too.

probaly like humans the ansestors of the quarians had a lager brain which more effesint at hunting like us.

Not sure about them running fast but the thighs do imply great strength. Might be better for fast sprints?

TIM: Shepard, bad news, you've gone completely over budget with the research for your latest bone and skin upgrades. Not to mention you had to undergo drastic repairs and reconstructive surgery before passing through the Omega 4 Relay, while reports indicate that you sustained no heavy damage from your previous mission. How did all of this happen?
Shepard: No data available.

Phonypapercut wrote some stuff about getting clawed over on ff.net. Though he was talking about toe claws.

Yeah...the Quarian national geographic?

Anyway, I vow not to let my inner smut writer come out. As much as I want it to, that little demon must stay firmly where it is.

I will not let it get above 'tense'.

Well, I suppose quarians either have no appendages at all, or protractile claws.
I just can't imagine nails on those toes/fingers, it'd just look odd. (Not to mention, development of nails like ours are extremely rare, even on Earth)
And if they do have appendages like that of sorts they'd have to be protractile, otherwise their fingers wouldn't look like they do now. I imagine those steel tips are there just as a precaution of them penetrating the suit, if that's the case. (Which would also support the theory of quarian females having a nail hidden in that adorable third little toe of theirs, considering it's the only one with a steel tip at their feet)

Yeah, I'm adding claws to my new fan fic series. I just really like that idea.

Mass Effect Alternative

An alternative reality where Miranda wen through with implanting Shepard with a control chip. What follows are a series of events that resulted from this decision.
