Harold appreciates your advertising. Nice to see another tzf member. I agree with much of what you said. She's definitely had a lot of development.spartan117 lbg wrote...

But other than that, anyone else read Retribution? I just got three paragraphs into it and I'm already arguing with the book about red giant stars.

I read it. It makes me very glad that I destroyed the Collector Base. Cerberus can't even tie their own damn shoes without severely screwing up. Seriously.
Also the book follows default Shepard choices. The book doesn't directly say what happens to Shepard or the base just that the Illusive Man thinks he'll be working with Shepard again in the near future.
Which made me feel relieved that he's not going to enact ungodly revenge against me.

There seems to be some general feeling around that TIM is going to be a big enemy in ME3, and I just don't see it. Sure you can make him angry by destroying the base, but what's he going to do? Kill you over it and doom him to death by the reapers? He's smarter than that. He's depending on Shep as much as anyone else, and he knows it. Hs seems headed towards more of an untrusted ally role rather than enemy to me.

Ruthless? Yes. Unintelligent? No.mrsph wrote...
TIM is not a very intelligent fellow. I think I would rather give the base to Zaeed of Grunt than him.

I see him helping with a lot of strings attached. You were his unwilling puppet if you were Paragon. He wants his puppet back.
Timmay is NOT your friend. Even in ME2 he wasn't. For an ironic twist, the Renegade path is the 'naive' one when concerning Timmay.

and as i was playing tali's loyalty mission today, i noticed the male quarians have these tubes coming out of their helmets. what are they for? and do the females have them? are the covered by those hoods?

I hate to be a buzzkill here but the Cerberus/ Illusive Man discussion is not permitted either. Last two pages have been 99% off-topic, so in an effort to make things ON-topic...Phil725 wrote...
I'm not really sure how much TIM wants a puppet. I think he is legimately concerned about the reapers killing everyone, and that's why he brought you back in the first place. Being the pragmatist that he is, he's going to try and get all the extra benefits he can off of you in the process, but you do share the common goals of saving people in ME2, and stopping the reapers in ME3. That alone makes him potentially useful to you.
yes i agree, i feel strange thinking though it functions as hair thoughPhil725 wrote...

I'd assume for stuff like electricity and oxygen and other stuff to be transported from the rest of the suits to the helmet area. The females have them as well, though their hoods cover them. Which is a very aesthetically pleasing design choice
