No fancy vows, no ministers, no religious crap, no real formality, no expensive decorations or weeks of planning for foods and dress and stuff. Similar enough, but without the stupid frilly stuff. More like a family get together, acknowledging that the two people the party is for have decided they want to be together. Far less formal than a human affair.

I hope I can convince my future wife to agree to this :?
Assuming I get married, of course.

I'd settle for a simple ceremony, where the two people involved invite friends and family, profess their union, then listen to music, eat, mingle, socialize, and simply celebrate it. Cut out all the extra useless crap, like what human marriages have...

Agree.  Communal history builds a 'family-like' atmosphere anyway.  No need for the pageantry that we use as a substitute for such a feeling.

For once? We agree on something.

MEGA CHALLENGE

You still have to get Tali a small wedding gift.  CHOOSE YOUR DESTINY.

My last friend to get married got a sympathy card. And a KitchenAid Mixer. And something else that was my not so subtle statement on children.

No, seriously, people like me in real life.

Told you.

All Tali ever wanted was to be acknowledged. For her father to show her he loved her by actually being her father. Not her commanding officer.

His actions were unforgivable, as a father.

You should've just given them a fist which you can give again-SMACK-and again-SMACK-and again-SMACK.

My Shepard would be more traditional.  He'd get Tali a ring, cook her a turian meal.  (Boy can cook, honest.)

Meanwhile, Shep's mom gives Tali one of her bowie knives for Tali's other leg.

My Shep's mom is weird.

Tali was probably wary around Kasumi at first since Kasumi is a thief (and I have the feeling that quarians probably dislike thieves more than anything)

I bet Kasumi would get Tali the most precious and expensive gift ever for a wedding gift. Just don't ask her where she got it.

But then they wouldn't have gotten the KitchenAid Mixer.

Honestly, I'd probably give Tali a collection of fine fabrics.

Sorry.

I have an innate dislike for certain people. Red is one of those people.

I consider him a friend of sorts. I'd still love nothing more than to kill him. Funny how that works.

I have a feeling that they would have some hilarious dialog between the two, since they are the two most playful characters on the ship. Coupled with the fact that they are both very familiar (Tali) and comfortable (Kasumi) with Shepard I think they'd be great friends :)

Hopefully Kasumi becomes a default squad member in ME3, and maybe they'll have some conversations together.
