Wy the hate, fellas? Tali should bring us all together.

Hate?  It's kind of our thing.

Sorry.

I have an innate dislike for certain people. Red is one of those people.

I consider him a friend of sorts. I'd still love nothing more than to kill him. Funny how that works.

:?...
right so i dont think kasumi and tali would get along well....considering kasumi is a thief and to quarians theives are the worst sort of criminal

No. Traitors and mutineers are the worst kinds of criminals. Quarians have no real sense of ownership, thus, thievery is likely completely alien to them.

just saw the youtube video of tali talking about her father (missing the hug during her loyalty mission) and now rip, i completely and wholeheartedly agree with you. if i met rael i'd give him a soild punch in the face,

Told you.

All Tali ever wanted was to be acknowledged. For her father to show her he loved her by actually being her father. Not her commanding officer.

His actions were unforgivable, as a father.

that video was so emotional, i got teary eyed afterward.im glad i hugged her

Mind to post the youtube link? I'm not finding it anywhere :?

My gut reaction is to say Tali and Kasumi would be friends. Tali had a spark in ME1 that was dulled in the two years since Shepard's death. In spite of her own losses, Kasumi still has that spark and would probably ignite Tali's again. But Tali's been working for the good of her people and the galaxy. Until joining up with Shepard, Kasumi's been kinda doing whatever she likes. I'm not sure if that difference in goals would cause some sort of personality clash.

Kasumi does seem to imply that her and Tali are best buds.

@ rip i meant thievery of ships, ships are extremely valuable to quarians considering they live on them

Well, some squadmates should end up liking each other as opposed to only talking to Shepard all the time. :?

I LOVE Liara. I also LOVE Tali. Bioware I hate you for making me have to choose in ME2. Granted, I may have subconsciously chosen Liara because Tali wasn't available in ME1, but I suppose I'll never really know. So, with the announcement of Shadow Broker DLC, which resolves the Shadow Broker story, it is my hope that Liara returns to the squad in ME3. At the same time, I want Tali there as well. I'm gonna have a hell of a hard time with them. This whole situation makes me appreciate my FemShep more, I don't have to make a decision like this. Anyway, I've made some sigbars below, one for Liara, the other for Tali. Neither express interest in them being LIs, so if you're like me, you won't feel bad having both in your sig. :)

Had he been alive, I'd have loved nothing more than to punch him in the mask, crack that visor open, and MAKE him take the damn sick leave to be with his daughter.

Jerk. <_<

I notice threads asking about whether Tali is "really that popular" keep popping up on the main page. It seems to me that question is self answering. 1. If you have to keep asking the question then it is obvious that Tali really is that popular with a significant number of people. Not only that, but she generates passion equal to her quality as a character. 2. Anything that generates a high level of passion seems to generate some level of backlash in response. I imagine Isaac Newton would have something to say about that.

Agree.  Communal history builds a 'family-like' atmosphere anyway.  No need for the pageantry that we use as a substitute for such a feeling.

That's a great point!

I completely agree. The more people like Tali, the more some people will dislike Tali. Though it seems the general consensus is that she is the most popular character on this forum, at least, but this could also mean that she is the most disliked character... :pinched:

It seems that most people who hate Tali don't actually hate her. They hate her fans.

Typical.

I don't see how it is possible to dislike Tali. I mean, not loving her is perfectly normal.. but disliking?

I know. My major gripe with Mass Effect 2 is the character's rarely acknowledge each other's presence.

There are also those who feel that romance with Tali is either pedophilia, or bestiality.

A percentage of humans have this thing called "stupidity", that dissables them from such things as "logic" or "reason".

I personally agree. I have no idea how people hate her. She's my favorite, and has been since ME1, before the romance option. But there are people who really don't like her. I believe there is a thread about that already up in this section. But whatever, as long as we don't troll each other maybe we can all live in peace :D

The best part is how whenever someone complains about Tali being "fan-service" they ignore Garrus and Miranda =/

Not agreeing with the Tali-haters, but there IS something called "different opinions" :?

Wait.

How in the hell is Garrus fanservice?

The most intimate thing Shepard does with him is touches his scars.
