So I have been looking through a lot of the information online about DA 2, but I can't find anything about party camp and romances!

Does anyone know if they are going to have the same party camp concept in the new game, and if the characters are going to have similar personalities from origins? Do you even want a party camp where you can talk to your companions in private?

Personally, I do :-). I thought it was great and I really hope they have alistair/alistair type chartacter to romance. It was so much fun!

I don't know- it might distract from fighting scenes.

Seriously I'd prefer a party pub this time.

I don't think it distracts from the fighting kord. It's kept separate from the fighting, and another aspect to play around with. I think it's awesome to get to know your companions in depth more, what a rpg is all about! :). Party pub sounds cool :P

I think DG implied there would be one in another thread. But I'm not certain.

I'd like the idea but with interaction between npc's, maybe some ME style conflicts to resolve?

You know what would be cool instead of a camp? A sea ship. I doubt we'll see it in DA2, but it would make perfect sense in some future installment of DA in which we can travel the entire length and width of Thedas.

This with sea shanties, shivering of ones timbers and references towards 'me hearties!'

They better make crafting abilities on companions accessible in camp. The lack of being able to do that made runecrafting unnecessarily difficult in Awakening (unless you actually wasted skill points on RC on your main character). It was also annoying in Origins, having to drag someone out just to craft potions/poisons/bombs.

One of the things that would be cool that they could possibly do with the style of narrative that they have is have your pc be able to stay at inns. If basically the dwarf (can't remember his name) is telling the story and you are for the most part staying at one place until you finish the main quest there and then skipping forward in time, I think it world be quite appropriate that Hawke might stay at an inn in that certain location instead of a party camp which would be considerably harder to do with the framed narrative. Besides the camp always felt a bit awkward to me, especially regarding the whole "hey, let's go do it in a tent." thing they had going on for romances, although I did enjoy the way it let your pc have more socializing opportunities with the NPCs.

...I hope some of that made sense, I tend to babble.

I like this, maybe some new concept art for Isabella,. she was too wrinkly looking in Origins:

Why would you want the same characters? I say no come up with original characters that aren't copies of the Origins ones. If you want Alistair then replay Origins.

Well I meant more the Romany look coupled with the long, black hair.  Not so much the tuna nets and slag wellies.  Most of the images that came up for female pirate were.......unsuitable.

I like the idea of hitching a ride on Isabella's ship (that was NOT meant to sound perverted... -_-)

If they do include camps, I want them to change them up a little bit and not have it always look the same, that was very cheap.

I sure the tradition will continue, even starcraft 2 has a party camp now. I'll even bet my steam account they have a party camp in DA2 :P

Romances have been confirmed: http://www.videogame...huk.html?page=3

I haven't heard anything about whether or not there will be a camp. I do hear a lot of rumors that they want to combine the conversation system from origins with the object triggers in Awakening. Also that all gifts will trigger a conversation of some sort. I think I would prefer this, it would spread out your interaction instead of being able to get to 100 love within 2-3 camp visits.

Alistair was a awesome character to me, so if they are going to bring back a couple from origins, why not add him?

And they should put the party back into party camp ;) HA!

I think it's a good idea to incorporate conversation systems and object triggers with every gift. But I would still want somewhere we I can talk to them and get to know them as the game goes on, kinda like gaining loyalty in ME but through conversation as well as missions. A inn at each place the story is, that sounds like a good idea.
