If you do not have one, just make one.
I'm not sure about CEP. I figured they had their own installation with the .exe version. If you downloaded something else, you might have to do it manually.
Also, it's worth mentioning that even having CEP downloaded does not mean it will make changes to the official game in any way or to modules that do not make use of its content. Only modules that use CEP will have and allow you to enjoy CEP additions.

So in your directory, do File - New - Folder.

The folder created will be named New Folder.

Click it ONCE to rename it. Call it tlk.

You're done!

JBDonnelly, as you were looking for modules, you might have found a few "modules" list above. Now, if you like playing spellcsaters, Fester Pot is the same guy who perpetrated those two jewels: Almraiven & its sequel, Shadewood!
And the second one, especially for me, is a true caster dream. Like "the spellcaster module".
(Play the first first, mandatory, and a lot of fun too, but the second one is... special. One of those which made me fall for NWN)
There is always that "The Best Module in your opinion is?" list.
Ring the bell anytime.

A file that contains the override files that come in the BioWare 1.69 patch. With all the other overrides found in this thread, this could come in handy for restoring the base game if you forget which overrides you installed, or deleted the entire override directory without a backup.

I assume because some older modules have been made under 1,53 and need it in order to play.
Here is what I have done: You should be 1,69 updated by now, not 1,68, and regarding the CEP, I installed all of them, from the earliet to the latest, 1,53 to 2,3b, in that order.
And never had any problem playing any community module... which I could remember of.
It's not that complicated, it only sounds like it.
But it works.

.hak files go to the hak folder, not "the correct folder" as you wrote, but the one and only hak folder!
(almost 99% of the time, make it 100% in your mind for now)
Step by step.
Redownload one module. Install "this one only" fully. See if "this one only" works.
One by one.
If it's a hak missing, a message pops-up, as you said, but which one should be specified in your NWN/logs folder, within the "nwclientLog1" file I suppose (or maybe the next one?)
Once you get the missing filename, either you know the one, or you google it, and if you're lucky, it will tell you where it comes from and where to grab it.
(Mac guy here, so I'm not sure about the legit PC way.)

This is something I have been long waiting for, 'til Calgacus made it... on his own request:
*44) ManaWand, BigBagofHolding, WandofGather,
and its original thread... where Calgacus finally answered his own call himself!
Isn't life the easiest thing alive?

Do all these "add-ons" work fine with each other? or should i be aware of any problems when pairing some of them?
All I can say is this:
I have one override folder, and one only, and that whole list is all in it... I think...
And I'm playing any NWN anyone could ever throw at me so far.
(This is not the best, only or ultimate list, it's just mine, but the good thing about it?
It works together. I'm nothing but a proof. A player, but a playing one)

You're my hero. I never had any...
Good job. I hate saying this about sombody else, but I have to here, I'm afraid...
Could you read this Vault or Project?

There are guides about the different classes, prestige classes, spells, books, races, full walkthroughs, as well as item lists, reference guides, and my personal fave, a DM and builder guide which details a lot of things, gives examples of scripts, and also references every sound effect and visual effect in the game.
Like I said, they are DEFINITELY outdated, but why not include them ?

I'll second this suggestion to include walk-throughs and guides under the "Tips" portion of the list, managed as only a Frenchman can.apunyfly wrote...
Hmm... This might seem a little silly, but how about the Gamefaqs guides for NWN ? Yes, they're certainly outdated, but some can be quite useful and they're quite practical and well- presented, and I see them nowhere on this list.

As far as I am concerned the absolute hands-down best NWN walk-throughs are the UHS progressive walk-throughs which are unique in the way that each gradually exposes hints in steps, cleverly avoiding spoiler information until the very end of the process. Also, excellent maps are furnished throughout. Beside hints for the OC, it contains equally effective ones for SoU, HotU and 3 of the premium modules (Kingmaker, ShadowGuard and Witch's Wake). All the hints are also somewhat antiquated, being released before the final v1.69 patch, but nonetheless are very comprehensive.
Forgive the ad-like description (honestly, I don't get any royalties!), but new players should certainly get a lot of mileage out of them until they branch out into the NWN community-made offerings.

I'll see about that, friends, even if it comes from Hip Maestro and worse even, Mr. apunyfly who's
got not only the nerves seconding my most hated NWN hero, in my very thread, but pretending to speak french...
J'arrive, apunyfly! Mais je m'en occuperai un plus ******, parce que là, je dois bosser!
Let see if you guys can ever decipher that impossible secret code from the ancient world...
Actually, the "walkthrough" provided in my list does care of the premiums as well, all but "Wyvern Crown of Cormyr". But no one does anymore... There used to be a walkthrough, one only about WCC, somewhere, but it's gone...
Hey, how do you guys know there is some new post on these

Still, good catch... like if you were a fisherman...
Thanks werelynx, very much. Wait! Didn't I just say exactly those very same words some days ago?
