Marjolaine's Recurve has the Rapid Aim ability.  What exactly does this do?

I am wondering the same thing! It's a little contradictory to me since Aiming by its very nature should slow down the rate of fire. However, in this case maybe it is what it says, rapidly firing carefully aimed shots for more damage.

Perhaps it negates the attack speed penalty for using Aim?

The strategy guide states:

Name: Marjolaine's Recuve

Material: Dragonthorn

Quality 1: +3 Cunning

Quality 2: +3 Damage

Quality 3: 0.3s Faster Aim

Quality 4: Required: Leliana



So I take it that it is a 0.3s Faster Aim.

each level of Rapid Aim takes .1 second off your aim time. It means you shoot faster with less waiting time in between shots.
