Guns? Sort of a leap of faith, and i dont want to be crucified for saying it but it would be cool. Mostly i want more exotic weapons like battle-staves (blades at each end) for warriors or glaives for rogues.

Small request, very minor in fact.
I would like the level of weaponry and technology of a civilization to matter. I hate all those BS rules about 'well this is a fantasy world' no f-you. You can't wave your hands and dismiss the power being technologically superior gives you in conventional warfare.
This applies to magic as well. No more mystical sword of righteous awesomness.
I realize this isn't going to be an rts but I despise the suspension of belief so much of any 'fantasy' setting takes.
Mind you I don't care if 99% of this stuff is occurring off screen. I'd just like to know it';s occutring and that it matters.

A spear/polearm would also be cool when I think about it.

I just want rogue items with built in poisons like Blightblood (hopefully more dangerous than normal poison though). It is really annoying having to spend that much money to keep on making poisons.

This. Those were some pretty gargantuan "daggers." I don't really care if they make actual daggers or just keep the short swords, but just... call them what they are, please.

Spears seem like the most obvious omission.

to be fair..MOST of the weapons were absolutely idiotically scaled. Bows with handles the characters hands clipped through because it was so wide....Greatswords/Axes with handles almost the full width of the persons head (look at Ser Cauthrienne's sword as example).....dagger's that were the size of short-swords (and almost the size of a longsword in some cases.)
I loved DA:O, put in over 520 hours in it..so I'm hardly bashing to bash....but the weapon scaling was one of the WORST things I've seen..absolutely idiotic and sloppy on whoever did the modeling.
And if it was done due to animations then the animators perhaps need to go back to school.
