"SPOILERS" Since in Awakening you make the dragon sword vigilance, it is mentioned in the epilogue it gets stolen by the antivan crows and was hinted at being held by several different masters and sought by others. Is it possible that Hawke could of gotten the sword?

It could have the same stats that you put it with in awakening. I would like it to make a return.

Seeing as there will be a new Warden dlc and we can import awakening, Vigilance will return and who knows, with the possible awakening import, maybe vigilance will return

I read here that the developers confirmed that choices in awakening will import, as well as dlc. It would be cool for it to return.

So I guess you want to fight the crows for possession and then give it away/lose it later in the game?
#7
Posté 29 juillet 2010 - 02:49
Hawke may keep because the epilogue never says how long the possessors had it.

I don't know, so far Bioware likes having only one epic sword in the game at a time. I wouldn't mind seeing another sword crafted by wade or some other master blacksmith.

What was the big sword in Dragon Age origins (minus DLC)?

This is totally off-topic, but Solostran, you have a dangling modifier in your sig...it sounds like you mean by YOU reading your own sig, you've somehow wasted our time. You could change it to "By making you read my signature..." or something like that, and it would be much clearer.
Now that everyone's time has truly been wasted, I suppose your goal is, indeed, accomplished.

You know as well as I do that DLC was suppose to be part of the game.

So you think Vigilance is in Dragon Age 2?

Ahhh but the thing bout vigilance in dragon age 2 is that it woud be new due to the fact it wouldn't have the wrong bloody skin graphic on it~!
Pluss i owe those Crows an arse kicking for stealing my sword despite helping those ingrates out back in origins >__>

I hope so! It would certainly make up for all the bugs that keep me from seeing the sword in all its glory.Legion 2.5 wrote...

I think the Vigilance sword is the *only* unique weapon that Bioware has done right in Dragon Age. All the other weapons have no history or have a sense of attachment at all.
Remember the Crom Faeyr in baldur's gate? The picture with text displaying the history of the item on a parchment when you right click an item made unique items alot more interesting than the few lines Dragon Age items had.

Antivan crows? Getting away with stealing MY all powerful dragonbone weapon?
Hopefully getting it back involves slaughter, if it's a part of the second game at all.

If you remeber then in the finishing text/subs/w.e it also said something about its power growing over time. So i think its safe to say that Bioware has some plans for it.
It also said that it passed through many hands. DA2 starts at the same point in the timeline as Origins. So even if Hawk gets his hands on it, he's probably going to loose it again.
Also, what a BUMMER if you were a double wielding rouge in Origins/Awakening. No epic sword for you, as Rouges use daggers :'(
