Er, I said stinging swarm this time, didn't I? Sometimes I do call it "flying swarm." I think only the one on the left as you enter is a shapeshifter. Without doing a lot of tests to verify it, I think he tries to shift when you get him to 50% health or something.

I just learned something. I always kill the mages first. They have always gone down pretty fast for me so I've never seen them shapeshift. When I did my nightmare solo run I bombed the room thoroughly, got everyone clustered then did a sweep, a whirlwind and a flurry on one of the mages, stealthed, ran out of the room and killed the other one. The first mage must have been the shapeshifter.

Could be. I ran into the shapeshifting issue the first time I did the fight, so yeah.   That fight gets ugly if you can't deal with the mages efficiently.
Stinging swarm, flying swarm... same difference. Sorry that I confused them on you.
