Dear Mr Gaider,
First, thanks for all your Hard Work... I loved DAO and DAA. A question... you have been quoted as saying the Warden's Story is completely over from people on these forums. However I cannot find that quote anywhere online and people who have quoted you won't reveal their source. Did you say it or are people misinterpreting your words?
Again thank you for your work... looking forward to seeing more of it. Dragon Age is great.

I said that DA2's story is not about the Warden. I assume people are extrapolating from that, as no-- I've never said the Warden's story is completely over.

Now this doesn't CONFIRM more Warden Time but it does CONFIRM he/she isn't over. Who knows... maybe there will be another expansion pack coming out before DA2. Maybe the Warden is going to be implemented into DA3 because of the community uproar pertaining to his/her absence from the main story thread in DA2. This does get me hopeful for more expansion packs in the Dragon Age Origins Universe:)

They just released a new trailer for a new expansion using your warden. You can find it on twitter; the link is on the main page. Other than that, I don't know. I'm not opposed to expansions or spinoffs, but I'd rather the main entries in franchise use predominantly new characters and stories.
That's the dungeon DLC, not an expansion, isn't it?

I mean, assuming they don't plan on going back to the DAO Warden for any further full-fledged sequels (DA3 or 4 or whatever), anyone who played Origins will keep buying expansions if it means the Warden's story continues, no?
I don't know what their plan is, but I think they have a bit of an exceptional situation in this case.

Actually a while back I did entertain the thought that in similar fashion to how Awakening had you playing either the Ferelden Warden or Orlesian Warden, a future DA game might offer you a toss-up between our Warden or Hawke.

Well i have some good news in my opinion. While searching the BIOWARE forums I noticed that multiple individuals havd said David Gaider (Lead Writer for ALL THINGS Dragon Age)confirmed that the Warden's Storyline was OVER/DONE. I of course panicked because I still wanted to play my Warden at least one last time. Naturally, I searched the forum for this supposed quote... I found Nothing. I then asked the people who quoted him where they found the quote... they did not reply... So Finally I emailed Mr Gaider himself and this was the email I sent him:

Wouldnt read to much into that.
By "not over" he could be talking about future DLCs for DA:O.
Dont know about you but im not paying $7.50 for 1.5-2.25 hours of DLC anymore
So until they say the Warden gets anouther Expansion (or better a new full lenght game), sorry but I gotta side with those saying its over.
You got to read past the spin Mad, I know we never use to have to with Bioware but its a new age here at EA/Bioware.
Not being negative, just being honest!

Remember Baldur's gate 2's expansion? All the companion returns to join in the glory. That was a true and wonderful expansion to the original imo. Therefore I think the original warden's story was over the moment we finished DA:O because everybody just parted ways.

Maybe you are reading more into it.
DLC? For sure. Expansion for Origins? Unlikely but possible. Warden in DA3? little to no chance.
But when you say that you hope that the Warden's story isnt over what exactly is it that you want to see? Closure? New adventures featuring the Warden? The Warden reunited with Morrigan? In my opinion Bioware should leave the end of the Warden's story up to the imagination of the individual, I have even made a thread that allows people to create and post the end to their Warden's story if you would like to share your own.

Unfortunately it has been moved to another forum so I cant post in it but feel free to share your ending for your Warden.

This is so obviously not going to happen that I can't understand why you'd even entertain the hope that it will.Kail Ashton wrote...

I don't see our Wardens coming back for anything other than DLC. They seem to like the VO system the best and our Wardens have no VO. I'm just holding out they give me a good DLC that can wrap up my Warden's story, so I can properly move onto DA:2.
Exactly.
