Or was I the only player who had Alistair killed, picked Anora and became King-in-all-but-name? I'm guessing not. It would be great to see an evil character you made in the first game(killed off most of your party, slept with morrigan, sided with werewolves/branka/templar/etc) who became King get killed by... yourself. In the second game.
Hey, a man can dream!

Not only that, but Awakening always ends with the Warden vanishing for unknown reasons, even as king. I can safely guarantee this will not be a plot point. In fact, I doubt they'd go so far as to assume you'd be a bad ruler if you were "evil" (which, by the way, there is no morality system and therefore no defined way to call a character evil or not), since that would assume too much about your character's personality.

Since DA2 is Hawke's story, I really hope we can be evil. Not anti-hero evil, but evil evil. Darth Vader "You have failed me for the last time" kind of evil.

Hehehe, I think I'd honestly like that. Complete w/ Force-like abilities regardless of class. Oh, and a lightsaber.
(then in a sequel or expansion, it's the Warden who kills Bad Hawke
I just hope that whatever strategy/management component they put it wouldn't just be dialogue-based. Something more 'hands on' would be great.

i sincerely doubt that's going to happen since the warden is subject to many variations and most of the game will take part in the free marches, i only see lothering as the only ferelden playable town in the game but we won't know until they release more information.
Lothering and Highever probably as its the closest port to the Free Marches.

Are people really going to roleplay their Hawke the exact same way as they roleplayed their Warden.MotoSkunkX wrote...

Surely you'd combine different wardens with different Hawkes.

Seriously: You are supposed to be the hero of Ferelden, not some douchebag that accidentally saves the world while ruining the lives of everyone around him.
Sure, for DA2 this might be different, since it seems to be a more personal story about the character. So it would make more sense, to play an evil Hawke.

Of course I wonder how everyone would feel that the guy who ruined your life is also the guy who saved the world and your ruined life.

OT: Heeeey!
Can't we all just think/imagine that it's the Kaiserreich, instead of the Drittes Reich?

Hes supposed to be the hero of ferelden because he stopped the blight and a civil war...How he acts towards those around him is pretty irrelevant regarding the title imo

what will be our options? Will we choose/ally with an organization as a means of rising to power?
1.Divine Chantry ?
2.Imperial Chantry?
3.Qunari/convert to the qun?
4.Mages collective/Libertarians?
5.Thieves guild?
6. Chasind barbarians?
These are just my guesses /speculations but I'm very excited what Bioware has in store for us. Maybe it's because there's so many things about Thedas that we haven't explored (places, other cultures, lore)by just speculating it excites me a lot. The new quanri appearance is badasss!!!
I hope dragon age 2 will be a success. i can't wait for the trailer!!!!

It is entirely possible to be evil and be a hero in the first game, why would this one be any different? Sure a lot of the choices in the first one were pragmatic, but lots were pointlessly evil. And fun. Like killing Carridan and then convincing Branka to kill herself as well, or killing every last mage in the mage tower.
Having Alistair killed for giggles at the end is clearly the most evil option I can think of. If it was possible, I would have had Anora killed as well. Nothing like being a hero AND supreme king at the same time.
