Have yet to get the game, but I am pretty sure Kreia reconnects you to the force and then you create a custom lightsaber

Oh that means a solely personal saber? not to be used by others?

You can construct a saber when you get all three parts for it.

If you put your personal crystal into it, it will only be usable by your character.

Not sure as I said have yet to play the game, but if there are other Jedi in the game (both enemies and allies) then most likely it can be used by others

I'm fairly sure you can have a light saber by the time you finish Dantooine, or at least right after depending if you find all the parts. Sometimes you can get lucky and get multiples by that time if an enemy drops their saber.

Ya you should have all the parts assembled by the time you finish your first planet after you leave Telos, however Dantooine is the planet that has your characters crystal so that is normally the first stop for most people.

Not really, I normally just do Dantooine first since you get your PC's crystal right-a-way and you get extra lightsaber crystals from the caves which gives a good starting boost without having to pay for them, of course you can just do the quests here until you build your lightsaber and then go to another planet then come back later for some diversity.  Just be as light side or dark side as possible to initiate Visas and then get the parts from the scavengers in the enclave then you should be good.

Kotor 1 you get lightsaber in Dantooine, when you become Jedi.

Kotor 2, I don't know, haven't played longer enough to get lightsaber. I seem to have other issues. Like in Kotor 1 melee was very powerful. In Kotor 2, I'm not sure what npcs I should train as range combat and what melee combat. Also other question is what npcs I should turn Jedi and who to keep as orginal class.

Kreia and Visas is clear Jedi. Droids are clear range combat ones. I also deside to make Mandorore as melee character, because low Dex and "stuck" armor. How ever, next are real questions?

Atton (scoundrel) range, melee or turn to Jedi?
Dao-Dur (Tech specialist), melee or turn to Jedi?
Disciple (Soldier) Solder as melee or turn to Jedi?
Mira (Scout) Scout as range or turn to Jedi?

I my self play Jedi Sentinel (of cause melee one) and don't need skill npc's at all, because I can do everyting my self better than any npcs. Meaning I have higher skills.

As what order visit planets, I was thinking Dantooine, Nar Shaddaa, Dxun/Onderon and Korriban. Mostly because gathering npcs companions. Lightsaber hasn't been in my high list order to make.

Of cause I'm wonder do I have to take prestige class at level 15?

Also if you haven't yet enough light points to get Jedi Sentinel +3 con, then can you lose it, when turning prestige class because got it?

You don't have to turn them to Jedi. However, the force powers give them nice extra abilities. I usually keep Mira as a ranged attacker, but the force redirection allows blaster deflection even when not equipping a lightsaber. Bao-Dur is somewhat hampered by his inability to wear robes.

As noted above, you'll get your saber as well as the personal crystal there. You have to visit Dxun/Onderon twice.

Also if you haven't yet enough light points to get Jedi Sentinel +3 con, then can you lose it, when turning prestige class because got it?

You don't have to take a prestige class if you don't want to. They do get some nifty abilities. And you do not lose your base class bonus when picking a prestige class. Instead a second bonus is gained (for as long as you are LS/DS enough).

Yeah, I think Dao-Dur is gimped anyway you do, because only thing he is good is skills and I don't need skill npcs. If I turn npc's Jedi, then I have to stop leveling them, because less I take the primary class, better Jedi they will be. How ever, both Atton and Mira has kinda special features as they primary class. Hard choises.

When I played Kotor 1, I had Carth with me at the end. He was really powerful melee character with 2 melee weapons and good armor and alot of vitality. How ever, I never did find range charcater much good, even if they did fine too. Of cause I did use only few characters in Kotor 1.

When I talked +3 con as Jedi Sentinel. I mean what if I take prestige class at lvl 15 and don't yet have enough light points to get +3 con as Jedi Sentinel. Do I lose Jedi Sentinel +3 con , when I have enough light points to be Jedi Watchman what shiuld give me other +3 con point.

The lightsaber parts are semi-random rewards from quests, but one of the parts is always on Nar Shadaa, and one is always on Telos. The last part is random, but you will get it eventually. Drops in KOTOR2 are random, so if you get a lightsaber part, be sure to save your game.

Never turn Bao-Dur into a Jedi. It's not worth it; the Tech Specialist abilities are so much better. You have more than enough Jedi without him.

If you're female, Disciple makes an excellent Jedi, and you can turn him into a Jedi without even leaving the room. On male, I found that Handmaiden was better as a non-Jedi, but the story was too good to pass up.

I am pretty sure you get both benefits when you get enough LS/DS points to get the bonus.  I believe the game always considers all your classes (Sentinel/Watchman) when calculating your bonuses.

No. When you are LS/DS enough you get the bonus for both the base class and the prestige class.

The lightsaber construction parts are not random. You get the first on Telos, the second from Visas and the third from the first "lightsaber loot" giver you do  - after this they yield a complete lightsaber. For example, I've never received a part on Nar Shaddaa, as I always do it late in the game.

Ya just leave Bao-Dur as is, he does make a good hand-to-hand melee character with the right build though since his special ability deactivates enemy shields.

I usually only turn the Handmaiden to a Jedi, for story-purposes and because with a double-bladed lightsaber & master speed she's very powerful.

Though with the restored content, it makes sense to develop everybody as a Jedi.

I'm really enjoying the Mods in KOTOR 2, it amazes me how people can bring in deleted content or even make there own quest lines and even planets to expand the game.

from wt you guys said, the completion of a light saber seems to be "random", does it mean that i may have a chance to receive my saber very late in the game?

No there are quests that have Lightsaber parts as a reward:

-Finishing the Telos restoration quests nets you one

-Confronting Visas and defeating her will grant you another

-Saving the Scavenger in the Jedi enclave on Dantooine should get you another

-Then you just need a focusing crystal for the saber colour and you are good (Crystal Cave on Dantooine is an easy and free place)

I believe that is all the parts you need, Bao-Dur will let you know if you are missing any.  once you complete a lightsaber any quests afterwards that would give a lightsaber part will give a complete random type lightsaber.

Going to Dantooine you should be able to build a lightsaber well before you find Master Vrook.

Sith Lords was designed such that after obtaining a certain number of parts the character is able to build a lightsaber. These parts can come solely from quest rewards that progress the story so no it won't be very late in the game.

If you get lucky with drops it could be slightly sooner but the game is paced so you will not be able to build a lightsaber before you are supposed to.

The only reason you don't get one out the gate is it doesn't fit with the story role play.

Also. as someone said TSL has random loot which means prior to building your lightsaber all saber drops are converted into parts instead.

Btw , does anyone think that the graphic quality of movies in TSL is lower than that of the first game?

I think the first game's movies is really great even though it was released in 2003.

Here , but graphics pack is pretty big, like over 1GB to download.I readed about this and devlopers made this, because so many was complainign about the quality. It makes it better, not allways good, but better.

Thx you guys! by the ways i am now playing the kotor 2 with the restored content mod (TSLRCM 1.06) will this mod fix certain bugs in the game? becoz i found that certain side- quests are buggy.
