Thanks, but no thanks. That's just tacky and corny.

Don't forget the ability to make teenaged girls swoon with oddly nonsexual lust.Dave of Canada wrote...
You gain sparkles, blinding the enemy and causing mass hysteria to all surrounding foes. Lasts 10 seconds. Works only in sunlight.

You could've at least used english. Obviously you know enough of it to understand what the OP said. That's just plain rude. It's high time these forums got "ignore" button.

Ehem. I will translate it for you all:
Are you kidding? Being a vampire that fights an archdemonom? No-no
It might not be that accurate. I used a translator.

I'm 99.9% sure we won't get anything like this in DA2. The writers have said that DA's equivalent of vampires are far too monstrous for any social interaction.sinthetic17 wrote...
Do you think we'll see a vampire/undead specialization? I was reading another forum and noticed someone asking about a vampire build.
I've only seen this in Elder Scrolls 4, where you could create a character that could be a vampire or zombie with rapid health regen.
Do you think we'll get anything like this in DA2?

Vamps in TES are not exactly social butterflies

My vote would be "no" merely because I don't particularly care for vampires, and absolutely HATE vampires-as-heroes.
Vampires should stick to being great and terrible adversaries or for use as anti-Villains, "yes, we're evil monsters, but they're MORE evil and monstrous."

But I wouldn't mind a larger bad guy selection.I know this game is less of a high fantasy setting that Biowares other D&D based games, but so far we have mostly just darkspawn/orcs over and over, some skeletons, zombies and bug based critters.
Of course I don't want shiny sparkly vampires running around cities, but I do not mind at all some very powerfull creatures that have survived the Darkspawn. Something underground that either through staying hidden or through pure might, was able to survive the Darkspawn Blight. Say once the Darkspawn are driven back, a new bad guy in hiding fills that vacuum. Somethign more interesting than some evil bandits.
I don't care of they are vampires, liches, this worlds version of an alien creature like Illithids, or just a race of dwarves that have be cut off from others, at war for generations, that they have become something almost unrecognizable and feral. I know this isn't D&D or Forgotten Realms, just saying I really do want some new enemies.
That said, I don't really have to have big ugly creatures that crawl out of deep caves to enjoy a game. I could just as well enjoy a total city adventure with various factions of the main player races as political foes and such.
Just sayin, I hope there is something more out there than Darkspawn, I am really bored with them.

Gaxxkang, my friend. Gaxxkang. Though his inability to perma-maze me did make him less scary. *shudders* I played BG2 cold, no guide or anything, and stumbled straight into the Kangaxx fight. I now have a crippling fear of golden body parts.

I think this is just too attractive from the sales point of view, and thus eventually we will see one.
Is it hard to maintain your cynicism for as long as you have?
I'd like to see more manipulation/dastardly uses with blood magic absolutely, but maybe not as much sinking fangs into nice juicy jugular's of buxom barmaids.
I mean seriously, when was the last time you saw/played a bad ass vampire? Bloodlines (obviously) or even Kain from the Blood Omen series?
