Character Respecialization Mod - v1.6
#76
Posté 12 novembre 2009 - 03:55
I have the Steam DDE with all the DLC pre-order stuff: the Stone Prisoner and Warden's Keep, some rings and other stuff. I am not running any unofficial mod except this one.

I used it on my Level 12 Human Mage, worked fine except that after all was done it gave me +2 dex bonus (green) instead of +1 magic that I normally had due to human/mage..

- Added the option to learn class specializations
- From now on attributes reset to the default base value defines by the characters race and core class combination. (except the Dog)
- Added an extra raven to the exterior of Flemeth's home. Look around the ruined statue.
NOTE: The raven around Flemeth's home might not spawn properly yet. If you desperately need it, you can use the developer console to spawn it using the "runscript wrk_respec_merchant_spawn" command!
You can get both the mod and the source code from the projects page: Character Respecialization Mod v1.3

- Fixed: Client crash errors due to multiple instances of the same spells in the quickslots of the actionbar. (Mage and Morrigan crashes)
- Fixed: Sten now resets to the Qunari Warrior base attribute values
- Fixed: The dog companion now resets to the Mabari Warhound base attribute values
- Added: You can now respec Shale, the DLC extra character
v1.4 source code and 2da overrides are also available. Download link in my signature
Known Issues
===========
The Raven still does not spawn outside of Flemeth's shack.
Looking forward to any feedback!
Enjoy

I'm happy to say that this is probably the first release that did not need any major bugfixes. Most of the changes are related to the PRCSCR 2da override, kudos to Craig Graff for his help!
- Fixed: The raven now shows up outside of Flemeth's hut. Now you can spec Morrigan out of that crazy shapeshifter specialization right away!
v1.5 source code and 2da overrides are of course available: Character Respec Mod v1.5
Known Issues v1.5:
None? No seriously, I have no confirmed issues with the mod right away, how awesome is that?!
As always, I'm looking forward to any kind of feedback!
Enjoy

Does the mod also count skill, talent and stat points that are obtained by reading books and doing specific quests?
This is a good point if the mod just resets your attributes to the Level 1 basics for your race and class then you would be missing some points?
Anyone used this with any of the above mentioned gains from books, companion freindship skills, Warden realted abilities or other collectable enhancements?

I doubt the mod takes into account bonus stats, but atleast for the CE items you can just deactivate/reactivate the content and you'll have the items again.

Your mod makes the game more enjoyable to play. Thank you for your hard work in making this happen.

It takes into account every change to the base stats, as it is mentioned in the project's description
Please read the description before spreading doom and gloom, it's there for a reason.

PS With this mod, I do not need to "cheat" by adding points. I can redistribute existing points easily.

I just downloaded the mod and it works very well, very well done. However I respecced my character into Berserker specialization and if I activate my Berserk (which is a sustained ability) and then enter a menu window (skills, inventory, etc) when I come out of the window my buff falls off.
I'm glad it does. That's how it works by default :-)
