Does cleanse area work on fire?

Err... what sort of fire? Grease fire? The flame effect from fireball? To be honest, I haven't figured out which effects it it deals with. Seems like it has a chance to be resisted..

It has actually been tested now, and I can confirm that cleanse area dispells all the fire spells, on NPCs and companions, as well and on enemies.
