For RP reasons or just out of curiousity on Connor's (Arl of Redcliffe's son) situation, I'm wondering: does joining the Mage tower mean you forfeit your family's name/estates if you are a noble? Are you 'just a mage' or can you remain an heir? Obviously assuming you complete training and are not an apostate or anything. >_>

Mages aren't allowed to be heirs, generally speaking.
