I want them to cut out the useless loot too like the rolls of parchment, bronze rings, ornate bowls, gems, ect... They were a waste of space in my inventory. I would rather they either replace them with gold or give these items some kind of purpose.

You no likey the Blank Vellums, Fancy Vases and Private Documents?Posted Image

I used to collect them and store them in the party chest in the hopes that Bioware would one day put out a DLC that allows your Grey Warden to retire and open up an Antique Shop/Dollar Store.

I want to slay an epic dragon, and when I cut it open to loot it, I want to obtain the item:

[Nasty Dragon Guts] that comes with the examine text: What did you think was inside it?

*snicker*  Nice.  I'm ok with slightly nonsensical loot--it's a trope as old as dirt, and I've just gotten sort of inured to it.  What I'm actually sick of is vender trash.  Yes, that's a very nice vase.  I'm a freaking GREY WARDEN.  I do not kill dragons with vases.

And why, exactly, do you think so many dragons carry them? Huh?

Dragon: Crap, she's armed to the teeth! Deep breaths, deep breaths. Come on, you'll be okay. You've got your vase, remember? She's a Grey Warden, she doesn't kill dragons with vases.
*You attack*
Dragon: BETRAYAL!

As long as I can sell them to merchants for gold coins I don't bother too much about them. I pick up anything, anything that is resalable.. I would pick up also Wynne's dentures if they'll give me gold coins in exchange...

You know, Bioware DID try to slip one past us with those useless items. There's an Ornate Silver Bowl in Awakening. It looks just like all the other Ornate Silver Bowls you find in Origins, only it's an actual *gift* you can give to one of your companions (Velanna I think)

And be more clear about the bonuses items give. Show the actual percentage values, I shouldn't have to wiki every item or potion I get to find out what it actually does or to find that the value is bugged and it does nothing at all. The same goes for powers that only give vague descriptions. We aren't stupid Bioware.

It's their new habit. Look at the heavy weapons in ME2: every last one of them is described as "strong against armor, shields, and biotic barriers," but they all have distinct bonuses. The normal weapons aren't quite as bad, but it's still really hard to sort out what's good at what.

Wo wo wo wait a second. Did I get it that BIOWARE doesn't fix the bugs right? And here I thought Obsidian did a much much more horrible job with NWN2...

True, some bugs are not fixed, but hell, it's just minor bugs that don't actually change the plot, or the gaming THAT much. Sure, seeing corprses explode or having a flaming barrier that ignites all your enemies would be cool, but c'mon, it's not all that important.

Let's just be happy by the fact that they fixed the Orzammar broken quest with both side bug. As for DA2... well, DA:O was the one that gave the first shot, and as we know, Errare humanum est. But mostly, let's remember that what we hope we won't see is the " perseverare diabolicum" part of the phrase :P

Exactly...I honestly can not fathom why a developer would place a locked chet with a high level trap in a room, and put parchment inside...

Beats me...

Actually, I like that. I don't play the game for the numbers anyway. If I find a sword in real life I don't really know if it does 5% more damage than another sword, not even an expert would know that. We talk without numbers between ourselves (exceptional, good, average, bad), we only use numbers for things that can really be measured.
Of course, in the end, in a computer game everything is measured, but it attacks my suspension of disbelieve.

Me too. Placing a 1 copper parchment inside a 1 silver chest and protecting it with a 1 golden trap is... weird.

Well, to be fair, not many of us go around buying *swords* in real life.  But we Do buy other things.  And we do care about their stats.

For example,  do you go out and buy a computer without knowing     the exact details of all its features?  Or a car?  Or a lawn mower?  Or an appliance?

I do like the idea of getting some sort of non crappy loot from the orange names I fight. I mean I fight them for a reason (quest or whatnot) and honestly am not happy with some crap loot for it all.
