Irremovable Photo Tags

I have some photo tags, three to be specific, associated with my profile that have no true link to an active picture. There's a small empty outlined square where the picture once was. It's not really preventing me from doing anything just a minor annoyance. But is it possible to remove these dead links or what? Thanks for reading this.
