 This is not intended in any way to be a rival to B_Harrison's Custom Content Tools stickied thread. Where that lists direct links to useful tools this small list is a little more ephemeral in that it points to web sites with things that you may or may not find useful. I suppose you could say that it is a small directory of potentially useful sites that are not directly linked with nwn but which may be of use for custom content creation. More importantly I don't think they deserve to be on the stickied thread because of this. I was thinking of doing something along these lines from before the great board switch. I did mention a couple of these on the old boards in a resource heads up. These are all sites that I came across while trying to figure out how to do what eventually became Map Mats.

The first thing on this list is An alternative image search site to google - picsearch.com.

This next site has free music - ccmixter.org.
This is the first of 2 with free sound - freesound.org.
And this is the second that has free sound clips - soundbible.com.

There are a number of sites with free textures, there's one on the stickied thread. Here's a couple more.

The first is mayang's free textures - mayang.com.
The other is more free textures - spectrumtextures.com.

Next we have a site with links to PnP map creation tools and tutorials - rpggateway.com.
If you hate 4th edition there is a wealth of material at the WoTC DnD 3.5 archives - wizards.com.
For a wealth of space resources inluding models - celestiamotherlode.net.

The rest of the list is all to do with tutorials of one kind or another.

I've included this site in the list mainly for the gimp/paint.net/inkscape tutorials - deviantart.com, but there is so much more here.
I stumbled upon this site gimp and pshop brushes etc. and turorials - obsidiandawn.com.
This has a skinning tutorials - quakewiki.net.
This has one of the longest web addresses as well as pshop space video tutorials - designshard.com - e.g. tutorials in the form of videos.
Finally for the portrait makers among you there's Fantasy art school - stormthecastle.com.

I hope that some of you find some of this to be of use. If anyone else has links that you think don't deserve to be on the stickied list but which you think have potential to be useful resources you could always post them here.
