main theme vocalist returning for DA2?

There's only a single melody that really stood out for me, though, and that -- unsurprisingly -- was the beautiful vocal line that played over the menu screen and, in a different version, as Leliana's song in the main game.
If Dragon Age has a musical "signature" for me -- a sound that instantly brings the game to mind -- it's that theme. I'm really hoping that the vocalist will be brought back for a similar song for DA2, just as the "prelude" has remained a constant through the many iterations of the Final Fantasy series.
Hopefully Bioware doesn't considered that her voice is too closely identified with the character of Leliana to transfer to another game. Because honestly, she sounded nothing like Leliana's speaking voice.
Anyway, I love this style of singing and I'd love to see it remain as Dragon Age's calling card.

the singer was the VA of Leliana? o.O
No, she wasn't. The singer is Aubrey Ashburn, and the voice actress is (I think) Corrine Kemp. My point was that they sounded so different that there's no reason to necessarily tie the singer to the character in the DA universe.

Leliana's Song, on the other hand, had a stunning soundtrack, but I don't think DA2 should have a similar one because it wouldn't fit with what is apparently the tone of the game.

Except the whole part where Leliana sings the song. ya. They're not tied together at all

I'm not talking about "This is the sh*t" sort of thing (good grief). A similar soundtrack but with more urgency; maybe some drums mixed into it. I'd love that. =)

Really? C'mon, tell me you didn't hear the theme that played when Dulin opened the door to Harrowmont's study and go "man, this is badass". Especially the way he's facing away from you (such a diva).Saibh wrote...
I liked In Uthenera well enough, but the DAO soundtrack was fairly bland to me. I guess I like Lothering's music, and that was pretty much it.
And the music that plays when you summon the High Dragon? That's drawer-soiling music right there.

- Leliana is so cute.
- No! Leliana is annoying! Supposedly the voice actress has a degree in French, but she sounds like a second-year student playing the fool!
- Is her voice actress' name actually spelled Corrina Kemp? Or Corrine Kempa? I can't remember.
- Why don't you just go look it up?
- Why don't you?
Your cooperation is appreciated.

New rule: no score-bashing in my thread. It is okay to go off-topic, though. Acceptable ways to go off-topic are:Other than those possible remarks, however, this is a thread for discussing whether or not Aubrey Ashburn's vocal will or should return in the theme music for Dragon Age: Rise to Power.

Leliana is cute beyond all reason. I think cute is too simple a word to describe her.
Also, her voice is boner-inducing.

In Uthenera is the song elves sing when they're putting their elders in their little sleep chambers. It's the one Leliana sings to you. I doubt it's the Archdemon's song.
Be very cool if it were, though. Of course, some people really hate the song, so then it's a bit of Fridge Logic, right?

Darkspeak transcribed in Elvish: That would be a fantasy cliche Bioware might take advantage of (Sauron's One Ring had Elvish writing!!! I think it even whispered in Elvish, lol.)
In fact, the Elves are the oldest race, right? Who's to say the Old Gods can't speak Elvish? Maybe they had to communicate with elves for millenia before the humans becgan worshipping them, so now that they're sleeping they instinctively revert back to an earlier tongue?
