Hey, nobody's forcing you to do that stuff even if you play the game. Except maybe once or twice, now that I think about it.

I've tried to play TW, twice, but stopped both times after a few hours. It's not only that I didn't like Geralt and his looks (and I'm stuck playing this abomination...) - and a fine example how a pre set and predefined character can ruin a whole game for one, the whole combat system was annoying. As strange as it sounds, I wanted to like The Witcher, but it's not my game, not my hero, not my setting.
If anything, I appreciate it for it's unique and mature take at a fantasy RPG, but I'd rather wish DA2 will stay clear of most TW influences.

Eh, with these games I'm always going to err on the side of dismissing the "historical" argument. It's fantasy and fiction. That means the mindset of the world is whatever the authors say it is. They are the gods of that world.

You guys act like permiscuity isn't wide spread. The situational aspects of the cards were not entirely natural feeling at times, true, but any one person could probably as easily sleep with that many women with enough effort.

Hehe, touche. Still, the world view is what the authors say it is. In this case, women throw themselves at guys that rescue them. Or do them small favors. Or just... give them a flower. Yeah...RageGT wrote...

I learnt this the hard way in Fable II. You even get them from your spouse/s! WHAT DID THEY DO WHEN I WAS LOCKED AWAY FOR TEN YEARS!?!??!?!?!Bryy_Miller wrote...

I didn't label you. You did. I just went along with it. Anyway, there's things on regular broadcast television, especially the regular nightly news, that make games like The Witcher seem tame in comparison. Your argument for drawing a line in a video game is what's ludicrous when you stop and really think about what people have easy access to on a daily basis.Bryy_Miller wrote...
That is quite frankly a ludicrous idea. I'm all for maturity in entertainment - especially kids' entertainment - but there is a line. But good job on labeling me because of my opinions about a video game.the_one_54321 wrote...

Come to think of it, a sex card in DA2 ( just one ) would be a great jab at CD Projekt red.

My problem isn't that they exist but that they're done in a very poor fashion. People in the game will have unrealistic sex with you, some times even has a reward for a quest. How many of you womenout there felt like ****ing the bag boy beacuse he help you to your car? I'm guessing not many. As well the they felt the need to put in tons of asses, ****s, ****s, ****s, and things a long that line in places they just didn't belong. Half the time when someone would use that language it didn't feel natural to the character, it felt forced, or even worse like the only reason for them use it was because they're a 9 year old kid and mommy isn't around to hear.
I fall into the category of those that disliked the Witcher, one of the many reasons why I disliked it being the above. There were some merits to the game, but ultimately not enough that makes it a game I can even bring myself to view as mediocre. I thought ME2 was a better game than Witcher, and for me to say that is saying a lot.
Hyperbole does you no credit.Crippledcarny wrote...
In today's news, the rape of a local woman was prevented as a wondering vigilante left the would be attacters dead on the side of the road. The local woman reportedly repaid her rescuer by taking him behind the old mill house. More at 11.the_one_54321 wrote...

After the mass effect alien sideboob controversy, no North American company has the balls for any serious mature content in their games. Only the European ones dont give a crap, man in Europe they sell porn magazines out in the streets where children can see them, its pretty awesome

We even have radio comercials about erotic shops.
I guess the place you live at will play a role on how you take "mature" stuff in games.
