Oh noes! We're PRUDES for thinking that this **** shouldn't be in video games! OH NOES!

Well... yeah. More or less.

That is quite frankly a ludicrous idea. I'm all for maturity in entertainment - especially kids' entertainment - but there is a line. But good job on labeling me because of my opinions about a video game.

I didn't label you. You did.

How? By mocking your post? And if I said "oh noes! We're SERIAL KILLERS for -" would you also think I outed myself as a serial killer? I was mocking your arrogance. Jesus, please do not ever assume that you know who I or anyone else is.

Come to think of it, a sex card in DA2 ( just one ) would be a great jab at CD Projekt red.

If you romanced Zevran in DAO, Hawke will meet him and he will be shown Zev's collection of sex cards, including the one of your Warden Image IPB

LOl! I like it.

I want to see Morrigan tear up the card and say,  " In your dreams, cowboy."

And illegal! It's always been. But that never prevented me from getting my hands in a Playboy magazine when I was 13 and really, it didn't affected me much. Starting my sex life at 15 made a whole lot more difference.. hehe. I am much much older now and married for the past 17 years to the same woman so I think I'm not that screwed up.

I'm not surprised that lots of comments on my videos, by people that allegedly played the game (and know it well because of that) are made by underaged kids. At least their age on their YouTube own channel says so.

13? bah. I accidently went on www.milk.com, but I mispelled Milk, and saw my first porno at the age of 12.

I turned out pretty well, unlike my peers who couldn't handle anything without bursting into shame or giggles. Kids these days need to be exposed to this kind of stuff early, and get used to it. No I did not turn out a mysogonist, or a domestic abuser, but I didnt need to be censored against how to fcking reproduce.

In today's news, the rape of a local woman was prevented as a wondering vigilante left the would be attacters dead on the side of the road. The local woman reportedly repaid her rescuer by taking him behind the old mill house. More at 11.

Bad reporter! She actually took him INSIDE the old mill house, which is supposed to be haunted, and the noise coming from the place scared the **** out of the village populace! :P

Bottom line: you labeled me a prude and then you said that you didn't, that somehow I did. Please do not do this tomfoolery.

Alright we are way off topic. Let me try and steer it back.

To CD Projekt red's credit, they are looking to games as diverse as Mass Effect and Arkham Asylum as models for TW2. I say Bioware should have the same philosophy. Steal what works.

I didn't call you anything or attach any labeling to my initial posts. All I did was respond to your post and implications you made on your own.

Well, you have to consider that when I was 13 (1977), there was no dotcom and Playboy was the best we could do with. (Unless your dad was a perv and had some stuff from Paraguay.  We were under a military dictatorship and even "The Last Tango in Paris" was censored! But we had "The Song Remains The Same" starting in the theatres and I've watched it seventeen times in a row! Sixteen for Ms. Streisand's "A Star is Born". - “Without music, life would be an error.”

To be honest, you were almost giving him that anwser. And if he didn't someone else would have.

Other then that, I still havn't heard the opinion from people about a minigame, like TW did with poker dice.

Pretty sure any combat system other than pause and play is going to make the hard core dice roller fans filp a ****.

I actually picked up a copy of the Witcher yesterday and I must say it's a pretty entertaining game, though I don't see any aspects I feel must be imported to DA2. And I must say the voice acting in Dragon Age was much better than in the Witcher. But I guess Bioware has a bigger budget. And I don't understand all this talk about maturity. I never thought about Dragon Age not being mature enough. And since DA2 should be a sequel to DA:O, I'd rather see influences from that game. :)

That's because pause 'n' play is awesome and there's no good reason to replace it with anything else.
ME, in specific, is a horrible example to base further RPG gameplay on. It took two systems that just don't mix and tried to mix them. Most RPG and Shooter fans didn't like the combat. ME2 is more of a shooter game, which is fine, but should be kept to shooter style games and not RPG style games.

Excellent story and chracter progression is something that can be added on to any genre or game and doesn't really bear much weight in the argument.

If you are willing to read subtitles, go with the Polish voice overs in TW. They are much better.

I got really addicted to Dice Poker! Made a fortune... lost a fortune... started drinking then got my hands into some Fistech and soon I was hooked. Took me a lot of effort to quit all that.

Ok, I'll try that, thanks for the advice. Where I come from we read subtitles all the time anyway, just not in English. :)

I wasn't necessarily advocating a change in combat for DA2. But there are elements from other games I wish Bioware would consider taking a look at, like the way choice and consequence was done in TW,  moving npc's, day and night cycles, etc.

Theres also the fact that in TW2 there will supposedly be three main story arcs, one for each playthrough. This kind of stuff sounds good to me.

I think you may be missunderstanding. I'm not objecting to the mix out of a matter of taste. I'm saying that the mixing created a system that was broken. The gamers that are big fans of shooters did not like the mechanics because stats screwed with your aiming. The gamers that are big fans of RPGs did not like the mechanics because you had to be quick and reflexive, which they don't like in their game play. It didn't live up to the expectations of either core of fans it tried to please.

On the flip side, a game that mixed genres very well was Valkyria Chronicles. It took TPS and RTS game play and created combat that almost had the feel of a fast paced exciting chess game. Yes, chess that is fast and exciting. It pleased both of its target audiences.

I play it in Polish with English subtitles, better voices and translation than in Spanish ( a great irony considering the translation of the books is fantastic).

BW games never get dubbed here, something that annoys people, though I prefer VO.

About Witcher 2 I just hope this time Yennefer appears (Geralt´s true love from the books - Triss is her best friend).

It does bring back some good memories! But it really should have some music in the background, kind like Why is the Rum Gone? - Remix .
