I love how that comment kind of disturbed him visually. He pulled back and said "... that's not the point of the game..."

I got the impression he might have been thinking about what he was allowed to say and not say.  But yeah, I did totally catch the "but there won't be any cards."  Heh, maybe he's reading.

heh..I must say I'm really disgusted when I see people who think's that sex/nudity in games 18+ is the greatest evil on the world and it should be censored ... people if you buy game 18+ you should know there can by topics for aduld's. End of story

By the way sex/nudity approach will be more serious in TW2 that in first game.

They're still 8 year-old kids trapped in adult bodies. I bet half of them would run to church and dump their eyeballs in "holy" water in order to wash away the pains of reading a racy novel or watching sex in a PG-13 movie

??  No one is talking about banning sex in games.  So easy on the pointless hate.

I think what happens is that games are meant to have a fantasy element, but what men consider fantasy clashes with what women consider fantasy.  I'm generalizing, of course.  DA manages to make a game that seems to accommadate women really well.  TW1 is very obviously a male fantasy.  It doesn't mean I can't enjoy the game as a female player, I'm just aware that I'm in male softcore porn land.

I don't mean... someone HERE say that I just say if game have rate 18+ then parents should think about what they buy for their children... I disgusted when hear "Violence? hmmm ok... nudity?ohh turn it off!!"...and once again I don't mean someone here say that.

I'd like to see Yennefer in flashbacks only, and since TW2 is continuing Geralt's quest to remember his lost identity this might very well come to be.

Since she also died in the books, it would be silly imo to have another character return from the dead.

yeah resurrection of her would't make sense... but maybe they show Ciri?!... because her story is not over in fact :)

They say they aren't sacrificing the development of the game for consoles. This is on the heels of them claiming they would like to port the game to console.

Which is it?

answer is simple ... after premiere The Witcher 2 on PC CDP:R will focus on XboX360/PS3 version. I think it's good idea because PC version will be polished. Then this polished game will by ported to consoles. EOS.

..and they said that they will see and strive for the level of details and gameplay PC offers. If the consoles wont be able to (at least) come close to the PC standard the console version is no-go.

AFAIK, Gearalt was just as dead. That´s quite a double standard there. While it is possible Ciri was making up that part of the epilogue, it is complicating things quite a bit. Sapkowski left the ending quite ambiguous about that, but the Avalon reference was pretty obvious. Should apply to both characters, not just Geralt. And Yenn confronting Triss is something I really want to see. From as far as possible.

I wonder what they´ll do with Shanni. I think she is there because Essi Daven couldn´t and they wanted a "muggle" LI.

I was about to link that same video when I saw that. He's right, though.

Both is possible.  Developing the game for pc and then porting the gme FROM PC to consoles doesn't mean it gets dumbed down.  Now DA2 is evidently quite the oppsoite..............

Ageed.  Ideally both Yennifer and Shani are in the game.

Well I prefer games that are created first on the PC and then ported on consoles...I more enjoy with PC games on consoles than consoles games on PC if you now what I mean :)

Still, without giving much spoilers, THIS girl HAS to show up. No matter what. Cameo in the end or just a flashback.

I never progressed far in the Witcher. I wanted to play it, I liked the sounds of many aspects of the game. I just could not stand combat at all. Carpal tunnel syndrome after 5 minutes does not = fun for me.

I had the impression the scar was much worse. Other than that I agree.

PS: if they reveal The Lady of the Lake from TW1 is her somehow both games are going through the window.

:)... this is main cause why CDP:Red try to make combat more intuitive than in first game... I too was discouraged by combat but I forget about it and play for story ... and after end... start play another time to see other ending :)

What a... dumb video.  I didn't stay til the end, I gather the point is that DAO is still a fantasy game and didn't break any new ground.  You're trying to say The Witcher does?  Hm, well I haven't reached the end but thus far it's all been pretty de rigeur.  And we've already covered the sex cards, so.. mature?  LOL

I still thing that The Witcher is not mature because of the sex, it is quite the opposite the suppose mature material makes it juvenile at best http://www.escapistm.../22-The-Witcher

Sex isnt what makes a video game 'mature', be it Witcher or DA.

DA has The Pearl, which is a the perfect place to get a laugh and feel like youre 15 year old again. People play games to relax and have fun so im not against how the Wicher gives you the oportunity to treat sex really lightly.

I was just surprised there werent many dialog options ( you either tell the woman you just saved that you like running errans for free or you ask her about her ******... Wheres the 'give me some money, i need to buy all those books cause im amnesiac and forgot how to pick flowers' option ). Then if i had played Witcher before DAO, maybe i would not have been expecting so many dialog options. DA kinda spoiled us with that.

I will probably give Witcher an other try, eventually.

Neither is violence and gore, and by that logic The Sims is the most mature game.
