(because if I take you seriously, that would mean you want to beat a real person over something their fake counterpart did)

Sorry, I'm a Marvel fan.
I wanted to go to SDCC but brokeness got in the way <_<
stupid brokeness. I wanna hit cosplayers with inflatable swords...
(and Ironman movie > Ironman comics because of RDJ. Tony's kind of boring on his own as a character. Much better on a team... RDJ made him awesome on his own though.)

This past weekend at Comic Con, the first annual BioWare Brawl took place next to the San Diego Convention Center. An epic battle was held between the mages and their captors. The weapon of choice? Inflatable sword-staffs. Heroes were born, lives were lost, and a great time was had by all. Click here to check out the video.
I have to admit that I was kinda hoping that a REAL brawl had broke out....Because I was imagining the two sects going into this massive battle royal....The nerd ragers that hate the changes DA2 is making....And the people who are actually hopeful for the game. *shrugs* Oh well...Maybe some other time

Except DC published Watchmen... and owns Vertigo, which has published the only mainstream comics that are actually good (Sandman, Fables, Transmetropolitan). Oh well, to each their own I guess.

Watch. Now that DiDio is in charge, just wait for the Watchmen sequels (hell, they already tried to get Moore to write W2 and W3 by offering him the rights back), and Vertigo to be gutted. Well, Vertigo is already being gutted, with DC trying to get back half their characters. Plus, don't even get me started on Minx or even Zuda...

how did they manage to make that look genuinely epic?
It's Comic-Con. Everything at SDCC has two modes: Fail and Epic.
I mean, our Harry Potter Geeks are so intense that they stab people in the eye for cutting in line.

Oh, even if DC wants that, Alan Moore would not do it. He is kind of insane about the integrity of his works. Oh, and I forgot Y The Last Man and (early) Hellblazer and Preacher. It would be very sad if they completely dismantled Vertigo. Seriously, all the really good comics.
Anyway, back on topic, that video *almost* makes me wish I had dealt with the traffic to make the drive down to San Diego. Almost.

Balderdash!
As fantastic as Vertigo is, nothing... And I mean nothing. Not Yorick, Not Lord Fanny, Not Spider, Not even my precious Shade can make up for what DC finally did to Wildstorm. Shade comes close... so very close... but no.
They ruined The Authority.
They will never be forgiven*
(And if you like Transmet you must go read Nextwave: Agents of H.A.T.E. from Marvel...)
*unless Milligan and Bachalo get another run of Shade... then I will begrudgedly forgive DC.

Don't interpret things so matter-of-factly. Sigh. The internet really needs a joke-detector to facilitate communication--and perhaps a clarifaction-stub of sorts. Something akin to Annoying Paper-Clip Guy on Microsoft Word to accompany all your messages. "Hi, do you need help interpreting this joke? Click me for details!"
But I digress. To revisit the topic-at-hand: In all seriousness, I would've loved to be in that brawl. Looked insanely fun. Kudos to Bioware for making an inflatable-sword war look like the Battle of the Pelennor Fields. Delicious. Hopefully they'll do this again for some other DA installment down the road. I want to participate and bust-out some of my Rogue skills.

Hope there weren't many casualties... like in that... dammit, I spent too much time away from metal concerts to remember the name. I should kill myself right now!

It's a comic convention, it's not like this was outside of an office complex on a lunch break.

Yeah for real. I'm in the DC camp personally.
