I think I made this point on the Kaidan thread.  If people wanted to claim that BW is making these decisions on buisness sense and that Ashley was too controversial and the 17 year old boys who make up the majority of the video game consumer base could not possibly wrap their head around the idea that women prefer a mature and reticent badass as opposed to a loud annoying bragart, then I could understand their exclusion. 

But Wrex?  Numerous unbiased video game polls and magizines voted him #1 squaddie.  That's just poor buisness sense.

Anyhow, I maintain my faith in BioWare.  It is my firm belief that they are playing their cards close to the vest, that the VS and Anderson have been secretly helping you the whole time, the Horizon blow up was staged to keep their support a secret and to protect you even though it broke their heart to say those things, and that when all is revealed in ME3 both players and Shepards will be embarassed that they ever stopped trusting the VS.

I hope my faith is not misplaced.

according to bioware, ash and kaidan are essential to the plot. however, the developers certainly treated them as though they were an afterthought in me2. maybe the poll maker simply forgot they were in the game.

It would be nice if those characters were in the poll. But there is a bigger concern. We need to put aside our disappointment. We need to overcome our differences. We need to stand together, united! Tali or Garrus cannot be allowed to win this stupid poll!

Now, now. Calm down there. This isn't about Tali and Garrus's popularity: it's about Bioware's deliberate exclusion of major characters from ME1 that also appeared in ME2. There's no need to character bash anyone here; it would just be nice if certain popular characters weren't constantly given the shaft, that's all.

I admit that there is a teeny, tiny, practically infinitisimal chance that the reason Ashley, Kaidan and Wrex were left off the poll was because they've already been chosen as subjects of their own merchandise, but frankly I'm not counting on it.

Here's two ideas for C-



1. A Shirt about Elevator Conversations. On the front is Garrus and Tali in an elevator, Garrus with his sniper rifle smiling with Tali irritated, and it says over them, "Elevator Conversations Are Missed". On the back, Tali has a shotgun trained on Garrus who now looks scared shi'iteless, and over them it says, "....Or Not".



2. A Shirt with Tali and Garrus standing over a bunch of Collectors, Garrus with his sniper rifle out and a BA look on his face, and Tali with her omni-tool out and Chiktikka beside her. Over them it says, "I'll Stick With Those I Trust".
