Denlath Vestor is exactly correct and anyone berating the testers really needs a dose of reality. It doesn't matter if they had a year of testing, because sometimes bug fixes INTRODUCE NEW BUGS. It's highly possible, in fact I'd bet money, that this was working at some point in time and stopped working shortly before release. I'm a professional software developer as well, and this happens all the time. You can spend a ton of time making sure nothing is going to break, run unit tests, run it through your testing department. But inevitably something sneaks through from time to time, because the only way to be sure is to do a full top down test of the entire application and all its nuances every time you patch anything. That's just not possible.

So give it a rest. The scope of this game compared to the small number of problems is a testament to the year spent testing.

On topic, dang, I've been stacking this on my tank too :-/

I don't test games for a living.

Then you have absolutely no room to "condemn" Bioware for missing just three confirmed bugs.

As a professional software programmer, I have some insight into the massive undertaking these people experience in developing a game. It is truly amazing and a testament to the quality of the Bioware development team and testers that, considering the myriad number of system configurations that the game is run on and the number of people who have been playing the game just one week after release, only three issues have been found.

Way to go, Bioware!

I do test games for a living and I know bugs can slip through the cracks rather easily for a miriad of reasons. I think BioWare did a great job on this game, and agree that only a few bugs have been confirmed since the release. My gripe with it is that these bugs are in a console game which makes them notoriously difficult to fix after release. There are all sorts of hoops a company has to jump through to get a patch released for a console, the time you spend jumping through those hoops would have been better spent catching the bugs and squashing them before the game's release. I know there's a fair amount of time between the game going to release and the game actually hitting the shelves in stores, the testers and programmers should have been working hard to get some sort of patch together and authorized during that time so that any bugs could be fixed by a patch that would be ready and waiting on release day.

I've found and confirmed at least 6 bugs in the game in the 3 days i've had it, you can't tell me that these weren't on a list somewhere after 6 months of QA.

I had no problems with the patch

But for the people experiencing the 'Unable to play' problem--which is literally that the Play button disappears on the launcher---it's the EASIEST freaking thing to fix if you just spend 2 seconds searching for a solution

wow, this seems a bit shocking, I think its the same with the elemental damage bonuses too. I have like +65% cold dmg on Morrigan and she still caps out ~150 dmg with Winter's Grasp or Cone of Cold.

Wonder if the +healing effects cap is going to be the same as +damage cap for spells of 30%(from what ive read).

Bump. It hasn't been fixed in the latest patch, I take it? Didn't see anything about it in the patch notes :(

Why was this not implemented in the most recent patch??  It took me 30 seconds to test & confirm that it isn't working properly & you have been aware of this issue for how many weeks now?

ffs

Err, of course it didnt made it into the current patch because that one was thoroughly tested (and afterwards you dont change anything about it any more).

Patch 1.03 is in the works and will probably contain a fix for this.

Bioware know this bug for 28 days at least, I think it was more than enough time to add it in the patch

Healing Fix mod

That should solve your problems unless you're playing on Console.

I wear the Traders Belt all of the time. I noticed when I forgot to replace it the other belts did zilch to help me in a battle.

Download the Qwinn's Unofficial Fixpack which rectifies the 1.03 patch. If you wait for Bioware to fix anything you'll become an old age pensioner.

Thanks for the tips... I did not see anywhere that hostility increasing/reducing items were addressed in the patches.
